The Baller cards seem to be driving the insanity. I don’t know if it’s his followers or what, but all of his cards are going up at astronomical rates. The Thomas looks like it’s going to beat a lot of other cards to 1k because of it.

I don’t feel like we’re seeing comparable jumps in other similar cards with different artists. At least at the top end of the range. The $200-$500 are rising for everyone.

I have (2) McGwire Shore and (2) Ichiro Ermsy at $500/ea.
Do I sell 1 of each or hold? Is it better to own these scarce products, or use the profit to buy new stuff at a much higher print run?

What happens when the inevitable decline happens? Say someone buys a Gooden for $4K. The decline sets in and Gooden starts "only" selling for $2K.

How awful is the fallout going to be if buyers start asking for returns in a few months???

Hold for now. I think those are probably approaching $2k each in 10 days.

No. Really just a matter of spent too much money in 1 day ($5k) and I have to sell something if I plan on continuing to buy.

Just wanted to update everyone... the seller reached out to me today and he clarified his reasoning for canceling my purchase. It was a re-listing error on eBay’s part after a previous buyer requested an order cancellation. He apologized he wasn’t more specific about what happened in his initial message.

After exchanging multiple messages with him he sounds like a genuine and honest person, and I have no reason to believe he isn’t telling the truth. He told me he will 100% be honoring all of his P2020 pre-orders, so for those on here who are worried, you can breathe a little easier. Support his business... he’s got some big P2020 cards for sale and you know they will be delivered even if they double in price overnight.

There were three on eBay today that sold for 3,400 or less. The 3,400 was from our friends in Canada. The second was with a seller with 2 feedback and it sold in an hour for 3k. The third one for 3k was on eBay for about five minutes before it sold. That should be about it. Everything else should be in the 4K range.

If I know a guy that knows one of the artists well, big name, and he would be willing to sign the P2020 cards, is that worth doing? Will they carry a significant premium after going to BAS for authentication?

Hopefully no one on the high print run cards is dumb enough to sell 5 or 10 as a set. If a bunch of the $200-$750 cards decline 50% or more the buyer is going to return the cards guaranteed.

Ideally, I'd like to hold off on selling until all of the sets I'm collecting are finalized (Blake, Vides, Efdot, Trout), but if the data screams "sell" at any point before then I'm ready to move.

My plan is to take a really high quality image of the 20 cards of each set together in some sort of a display case, and then print a high quality giclee on hahnemühle paper for an archival framing job... then sell. It'll give me a lifetime of enjoyment looking at them, plus a reminder of this crazy time AND the profits. Win-win... if the values don't tank before then.

Boxes selling for anything at all is ridiculous. There are numerous ways to get them for free! I have bought 7 cards off eBay and received only three boxes and trashed them all. I wanted the cards not the ridicules box.
