It will this weekend after the Shore Griffey numbers settle in.

Jeter is by far the most popular player with general public. Griffey hasn't been big in 20 years and isn't very public.

I just received emails that my presale purchases will be shipping out to me soon. I’ve sent buyers of my Beck Brett presales similar messages. trying to give them peace of mind as they gorge on burgers and brats today.

1st post in the thread? Welcome my friend. Hope you accidentally stocked up on Shore's Mattingly and McGwire before today. At least you have until Wed's print run announcement before they skyrocket. Take me to the moon.

Griffey is one of my all-time favs. I started collecting his rookie year. That, and how nuts this market is, are the only reasons I'm considering buying this ugly card. LOL #BaseballCardGoggles

I totally missed out on this. Congrats to all you guys that got in early. I saw it initially and threw some salt in the wind. Didn't understand the appeal. But, hey, I guess I can still get in. Better late than never I suppose. Haha

Any chance this spills over into actual sports card collecting and prices? Not that it really needs much more hype or growth.

Ichiro Ben Baller will be a $5k card by weeks end. I would of been shocked if someone said it would be $100 two months ago when I bought it.

Fresh money coming in. Those of us who are cemented into this hobby will be spending a lot of this outside money on the inside of the hobby. You think stuff was nuts before. Wait till everyone cashes in on these cards.

is it too late to jump on this train? Can someone give me a quick primer?

Should I buy the current ryan and griffey from topps or pre order on ebay? Is it all a gamble on expected print run after sales stop or have earlier cards sold out quickly?

Interesting thought I had

ESPN is doing documentary on 1998 home run chase

Griffey hit 56 homers that year and the chase was originally between him and McGwire

I think he will be in the documentary and it will end up boosting his cards

Just buy a card and see where it goes. I have done that will several cards like the Don C for $75 yesterday, now going for $150. Or better just buy some from Topps when live. Can't hurt much but $20.
