Cheapest Ermsy Trout is now $2,500. I thought those who claimed cards would climb to $5k or $10k in the future were off their rockers. Now I am not so sure. At this rate, it will happen in a few weeks.

As several have mentioned in the thread previously if orders get insane with 100k or even 1 million (And it's quite possible) Topps will eventually put the ol "While supplies last" moniker in the description and then you'll see these sell out well before the 2 days expire


If Topps ever decides to do that no telling what will happen....The bots and all the other high rollers will get in at release time and just like 2020 Bowman 1st Edition the site will crash with issues and you may not be able to get any at all....And when that happens all bets are off!

Thanks for this response and those from the others. I am glad to see that I am not the only one just not understanding how the Project 2020 cards seem to defy the generally accepted rules of market demand. I am dipping my toe into the water, I certainly will not overextend myself and I will risk what I feel I can reasonably "lose" with the certainty of knowing I can likely at least get my money back. At the very minimum, it really is a small investment with a huge upside on gains, assuming one is buying directly from Topps at the offer price.

I'm dabbling, literally only bought intro 4 cards just to try. I don't know what is going on, but there can be a lot of gains made on just 4 cards.

And yes it would make perfect sense to buy new equipment will all the millions and millions they're making off Project 2020, Flagship, and all the Bowman releases....But it is Topps we're talking about
