I got the first few cards including the Emrsy Auto on the way. I knew these cards would be valuable and sought after from the beginning. I didn't think anything like this.Im get me a Star XRC Michael Jordan Rc with the cards I have with out coming too much out of pocket with out even trading the auto Trout towards the card.

There’s people from four different investment hobbies (cards, shoes, art, stocks) that are buying these cards. The demand is not going down.

Not gonna lie I'm a little spooked about eBay's 180 day return window. How many people are gonna get clipped with thousands of dollars in returns a few months from now if the hype dies down?

If I'm not mistaken, returns are subject to current selling prices. So, if the market falls out and someone buys at $1000 today, and if 6 months from now they initiate a return, but the item is worth $100, they'll only get back $100.

My point is those buyers will start buying new cards from Topps. Then the flippers buying in volume will have nobody to flip to.

That and the supply chain can instantly break the entire thing when people who are preselling presells from someone else multiple times end up not sending what they sold.

If you don't accept returns on ebay items, I've heard buyers can still return. Is it 30 days in that case or? Does anyone know?

I'm a top rated + long time (15 year) seller on eBay. You'd think that'd afford you some sort of protection but I've never read anything that suggests eBay would take care of you in that situation.

Is there a page of this thread or a different thread that explains this a little better.

It looks like you can order as many as you want and whatever that amount is is the print run?
Or are there set print runs?

Also why do we think the prices are getting driven up so much if anyone can get them?
Or am i dead wrong and these sellout immediate and there is a set limited PR?

I have already and I am a believer in any card already released.

My point was go forward.

I'm going to do everything I can to sell off eBay for basically that reason. It's way too buyer-friendly at the end of the day. If I contract to buy stock at X price and the bottom falls out a month later I don't get to return it for a full refund.

I've read that here on the forums but I've never seen it in writing on the eBay site. I've looked for it! If anyone has the link I'd love to see it in writing. Would really give me some peace of mind moving forward.

They can still return but they need to use a valid reason, which in all honestly t there won't be one so they might say "damaged" which in turn I would give ebay a call and explain the situation (so they've had the card for 3 months, card value starts going down and all of a sudden there's "magic" damage?) Talking to an EBay Rep and explaining the situation helps immensely in my experience. If you accept returns it's my understanding that "buyer changed mind" is valid enough

This might be the most off base assessment I’ve read. And I don’t even use eBay.

Honestly even reading this makes me feel a bit better! I've got no issue hopping on the phone and explaining "magical card damage that happens 6 months after purchase"

The best investment advice I've ever received:

Buy only what you can afford to lose! Money to be made here, but don't get in over your head. Don't get greedy!
