Despite that fact some of these profits are just irrational to walk from

I think this set loses momentum once normal work and sports schedules resume.

Just my advice - as I think this board needs a contrarian sentiment

Once all the pops get into the 20-30Ks and people are back at work and real sports are going on, I think the easy money is over.

Its similar to Topps Living, it was quiet at launch, had a huge boom, then petered out.

Zion already has 1 knee surgery and speaking as someone who has badly pronated knees stemming from scoliosis growing up I can tell his gait is messed up and have seen dr point out the same. Jasson has never faced any pro pitching, go check out Jose Montero's A stats and Burrow is Bengal nuff said.

Truthfully though, I hope sports come back and all three are great players for us to watch for 10+ years.

On the higher print runs cards I think you are 100% accurate. On the low print runs they will always be in demand. Doesn't mean the price won't go down some over time but they won't tank.

I don't think I am going to get any of the Baller Trouts I bought 2 weeks ago for $24

Yep that’s part of my thesis as well - the high pop reports are so high they turn people off

And the SPs are so low pop reports that they are unattainable for others

A bad combo

The best thing for prices the next 6 months is if they don't play. The stuff isn't going to crash if those 3 guys don't play anytime soon. Long term they will have to perform but with Jasson the jury won't be out for quite awhile.

Yes he’s a stock and hedge fund trader, and 30k is a drop in the bucket to him. He’s made that amount daily (Daily!) for the last 2 months since the pandemic started. Anyway, I understand there will be haters in any situation where there’s a financial gain opportunity reaped by others so it is what it is. Be safe out there gents

That’s a fair take - it’s therefore a matter of when the peak is

I’m going to bet that when the auction ends on my baller/Ichiro in a couple of days that will be within 15% of the ultimate peak

Hence I’m happy to sell

I still have the Trout Ermsy as I think that one may have a little more room to peak due to the nature of that 2011 update trout being a truly iconic card

Oh I'm not a hater, I was just wondering if you need to be cautious doing such a large cash deal.

I wonder if the artists will work out some deal that allows them to make larger prints of some of these. Wouldn't mind having a few as framed posters / wall art.

Didn’t realize how this one jumped, got nervous to see who I ordered from. TwinsJake. We good, whew. Definitely worth the extra couple bucks when you’re buying ANYTHING after the Topps window has closed. Edit- extra couple bucks for any 100% big eBayer, not just TJ

But seriously I’d ask for the tracking number. And if he won’t give it up include that in your feedback.

Whew, went to work at 11:30, here we are 35 pages later. Anyone got a recap? So far I've been catching up with nearly every page, but can't do it tonight.

Let me guess, Shore Gibson up to $2k? Money Bear is actually the cure for Covid?

I’m a casual lurker of this thread, but this is my opinion too. It is all relative.

I missed out on the Trout "Baller" from Topps, and got one for $17.00 plus ship.

Contacted the seller this weekend and he replied that "Tracking shows it will be here Tuesday and I will ship it ASAP."

So we'll see.

Card 18, Nolan Ryan by Blake Jamieson seems a good pick up at under $300, seeing it's his first card in the set and under 3k print run.

The haters are starting to peak their heads out a bit. Couple guys are going to retire. One is ready to sell his soul. Prices keep climbing and pumpers keep pumping.
