At this point, collectors have had their chance and probably bought the ones they missed initially that they wanted. Those cards are effectively out of circulation barring a price too good to pass up.

Once there's only a couple hundred left on eBay, it's very easy to buy up the stragglers at a little higher price. If you buy 100 Thiele Trouts at 35 and then let's say you got 100 more at 65 last night, you're still averaging 50 per card. For the flippers, if they move all 200 cards for 100 or more...they've still doubled their money overall.

I suspect there's a rise in general interest regarding Project 2020 contributing to a rise in prices, but that's being expedited by market manipulation.

The amount of people that are involved is high

Plus print runs for most cards over 10000 now

It’s hard to believe. But this is happening because it’s a beautiful product and 1000s of people want in. For collecting or for flipping

I also believe there are a lot of people involved who could care less about baseball cards

….and ultimately, a 10k and under print run, isn't as high as we once thought....I have a feeling that anything under the 4- maybe 5k print run can reach the 1k mark....and I may be low balling as crazy as that may sound...

….I think we all get this...just going off of sold listings. But in all honesty, put the cards up for the lowest BIN price....and your card will sell within a 1/2 hour (probably 10 minutes), can almost guarantee that, which is a super rarity.

I usually keep 1-2 ounces of silver and/or a 1/10th or gold in my purse at all times in case I need a few bucks in a desperate pinch. Imma just start keeping a project card in there: it’s faster to take a pic and load it on eBay for 20% under market and get it sold than having to drive all the way to the pawn shop
