It’s a little different. With a futures contact you agree on a price and future date upon which the exchange will take place. Presales differ because the buyer pays now and takes delivery on some unknown date in the future when the item becomes available (could be forever in Topps’ case).

I love and hate this thread. I initially started only collecting Thiele and wish I had started buying 2 of every one of his. I missed out buying 2 Mays and Koufax. Then I decided I’ll maybe also do Don C and now I’ve been going and picking up previous cards I had no intention of buying. Great info in this thread.

I don't think I will... but these cards would look so much better on display without the one touch. By that I mean the end goal of displaying all 20 in a frame. It'd be more cohesive and I think pop more without the oblong look and bulkiness of the one touch.

I have thought about this for my chang set. So long as she sticks to the same theme for every card and doesn’t change up the style, I think they would all look super cool flush together side by side 5x4.

Yeah, Efdot's stuff is amazing. Sadly, I missed the boat on his earlier cards, and I'm not about to pay scalper prices to catch up.

I really enjoyed his interview with Blake last week, and dig his creative process. I grabbed his Williams from Topps, and will probably get most of his cards moving forward. I'd like to score one of his autos too. I like how he designs the boxes

But then that’s 100% committing them to the PC at that point when taken out of the holders. And I’m actually not so sure I wanna commit my changs to the PC with the friggin prices they are skyrocketing too.

I mean, the chang set is actually Jackkis favorite and she’s the one who said we should collect the chang set and I got hooked on it. Now she’s seeing the prices and I’m not so sure she wants to really keep it lmaoooo.

Maybe I should crack them out of the sealed mags before she changes her mind!!! That’s a brilliant idea idea where absolutely nothing could go wrong!!

I'm enjoying being caught up with 2x of each from Naturel. Now I can sit back and watch the show.

I'm picking up 2 each of any card that looks good (reputable ebayers). Or 10x of any card that looks really good (direct from Topps). Snagged the Trout and Mattingly before they get out of control, but I'll flip 'em if they go nuts.

Just ordered 5x Blake Jamieson McGwire, gotta chase the gold!!



The long game....getting orginals of each card to pair with the set. I guess I'm not the only one trying that.

A raw beat up Clemente is like $600. Good luck on that card buy it sooner rather than later!
