I actually just purchased a Tim Duncan Metal Rookie. I think they are a great buy right now at their prices, especially with Metal gaining popularity again across the board.

Love it man! Scoring Kings is one I want so bad, but the price went sky high so fast. Love the Gold Medallion as well.

Thanks! I actually bought that lightning Scoring Kings when I was a kid for like $50 or so...saved up for it forever. It's not cut very well at the top but is otherwise in pristine shape I think.

Thats a great $50 spent! The Electrifying in the OP I bought on here for $100 a few years back. Ungraded one just went for $900, so I am thrilled with that $100 spent!

Mine too especially since my career is in the IT field. Oddly enough, I bought this card raw a few yrs back. It looked real good on the auction but anyone can take decent looking pictures & post. It wasn't until I got it in hand that I noticed how real nice it was, but I still figured a PSA 9 when I sent it in. Much to my surprise, Gem Mint 10

Haha at the "cut" comment! Bad choice of words.

And I'm afraid of what will happen if I unscrew it...front will peel off? Since I don't ever plan to sell it, I've just left it in that so that it at least LOOKS ok.

Honest opinion, it's been in that same screw-down holder for almost 30 years...what do you guys think?

Some of them, i bought raw and sent in. Others, i purchased as 10’s (or lower). But some of the ones I bought, i didnt expect to get at the prices I won.

The psa 10 ‘96 Scoring Kings - i threw a bid in days before auction ended (just a few bucks above current bid) & the seller had the auction ending at some stupid time (mid day on a Tuesday or something) and much to my surprise, my $278 bid won the card. Didnt’t think i’d get it anywhere close to that price, but here we are.

Takeit2.net was my best raw purchase to date.

Is the 96-97 Ultra Full Court Trap the regular or Gold version?

I remember buying my full court trap gold for cheap. It was in a bgs slab that was misslabelled as the regular version instead of the gold.

Crazy how even the grading companies have a hard time with these.
Funny how some ppl actually think that the Gold version actually have gold foil. If that was the case not a single Jordan has surfaced.

Yeah, the differences are very subtle and can be easily overlooked unless you know about them. For those that dont know golds are embossed
