Default 1985-86 Star #117 JORDAN- buy on COMC.COM original or reprint?

Hi. Buy a Jordan card: 1985-86 Star # 117, 16 days ago, at comc.com (paid for as original).
Today I find that they marked it as: items needing your attention.
with this message:
This item must be graded or authenticated before listing for sale, Contact Support
Does that mean it is a reprint?
is not supposed that if the card is published on the page is original?
nowhere did he say it was reprint.
the seller at comc.com was: CardboardDreams
I'm a little confused and worried, sorry.
I leave the images for your opinion:

Oof. Such a toughie. I think some, if not all, of the TPG’s stopped grading them years ago because the reprints became so good. Will be curious to see what others have to say.

I’ve had some original Star cards from back in the day (some Canseco’s) and man they are cheaply made that’s for sure.

yes i am a little confused and sad. I have a comc account a long time ago, I thought that if it was published there, there was no doubt that it was original. Or if it was reprint comc should clarify it in the title.

Celtics 33 is spot on
Without muddying the water it is pretty noticeable as not authentic
BGS will grade any Authentic Star card and have been trained to do so

in your opinion is totally reprint?
I don't understand how comc.com allows this.

Don't put your complete faith in any 3rd party operation to have your best interests at heart.

Yes, I will have to learn from that. Im not from collecting cards older than the 90s. And I wanted to buy a vintage from Jordan, I thought that being in Comc was legitimate.

It probably is most of the time

BGS has graded star reprints too but it's a miniscule %

Nothing is perfect

You asked here, that's probably best practice if not sure

As a novice in this area I would like to know what stands out as "noticeable" when you look at this and judge it not authentic.

The real one has the photo lightly off of the border.

Also, four dashes around the Bulls logo.

Email COMC (blacklist@comc.com and staff@comc.com) and they will refund your purchase price and charge the original seller $10 for the hassle. They should put it in their policy to contact the buyer of questionable cards when they mark it as "Questionable Authenticity" and then see if you want it sent to you for grading or refunded.

They catch a bunch of the counterfeits and fakes that get sent in, but not all of them. As stated, PSA no longer grades these because they can't tell them apart. However, they will make this right for you if you keep on them.

If you check that card on basketballgold.com you will spot very easily the differences on the front.
It is a fake, and a poor one to be honest.

Thanks, I will do that. Thanks for the time everyone took to answer me. I appreciate it

It's odd that the person that sold it to you didn't need to have it graded or authenticated to list it on the website, but you now need to?

I don't even know where to start to explain. Its a reprint/fake, whatever your terminology is. Borders are wrong, font is wrong, Bulls emblem missing marks in circle, etc.

The back is more telling than the front to add to it.

Reason being, their processing staff probably doesn't have the expertise to analyze every card when they only charge 35 cents to process most cards. Once it's uploaded and priced, other buyers get to see the card and can mark it as questionable, and someone on their staff then review it. This (and other well known counterfeits) should be on a list that they always need to be graded to be listed.

yes i thought exactly the sameBut it must be that the staff of comc did not notice it. What I asked them is to refund my money and return the card to the user who sold it.

This one actually looks better than an original because of those 2 differences...
