Default 1993 Upper Deck Derek Jeter Foil card came apart...

Like so many of you, I've decided to dig through some old sports cards in the basement after MANY years in storage. To my surprised, I found a 1993 Upper Deck Foil Derek Jeter card in a top loader/penny sleeve. I was stoked to find it, but my smile quickly evaporated after taking it out of the penny sleeve....the card legit came apart/separated into 2 pieces - front and back are now 2 pieces. Surprisingly, the corners and edges are still in decent shape if that's even possible. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Is there anything I can do to repair the card? Should I even bother sending it in to be graded? I haven't looked at sports cards in 25+ years so I've been out of the game for awhile. Any suggestions would be super appreciated.

Mike

When that happens to my Jeter cards, I use Elmer’s glue.

This would be fraudulent. Don't grade the two card halves.

Definitely grade each half. Could be half of half times two instead of 1 of 1

If I sent it to PSA as is, do you think I can still get a grade of 1? lol

Card 279 in silver foil...pretty sure it's his rookie card.

Just staple it together and send it in. What could possibly go wrong?
