Protesting is a right ? Ask Colin Kaepernick how that works out . Protesting does not involve trying to force your way into the state capital

Not bringing Kapernick into conversation. Pretty sure they were in the halls of the Capital. I'm not saying some of it wasn't over the top, but I still don't get how they're spoiled kids?

Spoiled children act up when they don’t get their way, my basis for comparison. The people who confronted the Capital police were trying to use intimidation to get their way , the same way a spoiled child would use a temper tantrum.Being supportive of the right to protest means all protests , not just the ones you agree with.

He'd probably say pretty darn good. The guy had the support of millions of people and made bank off of Nike just to be a "social influencer".

Can you really not see the big picture with these protesters? The government has their foot on the necks of citizens right now; they've overstepped with this lockdown. All of these nonsensical rules aren't being put in place for the greater good, it's nothing but a power trip control of the citizens. The citizens have had enough and are fighting back. Go ahead and call those people names and say how stupid they are. The fact of the matter is you should be thanking them; that is, unless you really want the government to be your master.

Protesting and insubordination are two different things. Learn the first amendment. Or don’t, whatever.

Thanks for assuming you know my opinion on other protests. This isn't about not getting their way. This is about them watching their lives be destroyed by a governor who thinks you shouldn't go buy paint and then she makes herself look even worse by keeping things open like lottery ticket sales. Just because some may have over reacted in the protest doesn't mean they shouldn't protest. This is government overreach at its finest.

Sort of. Not enough State polling and high amount of undecided voters. Can you show a time when those same awful polls missed 2 Presidential elections in a row? Good luck.

Trump's been treated differently than any other candidate I've ever witnessed.

You wouldn’t comment on Kaepernick. Aren’t the lottery tickets being bought in grocery stores or other businesses deemed essential? I absolutely agree about the right to protest being fundamental and my criticism was aimed at the people who took it too far . The fastest way out of this is a strict shutdown now and avoid a second wave

How did they force their way into the state capitol when they agreed to the temperature checks that the state police asked them to do. If they had forced their way in, the police simply could have denied them access.

So protest at the fence of the White House, if it's truly fear of government as a master.

"When somebody is president of the United States, your authority is total," was said by Donald Trump, not by Governor (insert your favorite enemy here). The same Donald Trump who declared Coronavirus a national emergency and in doing so, unlocked "master" powers over much of the country.

Trump's own guidelines for the stay at home / social distancing went to April 30th...yesterday.

Why we're somehow acting like the stay at home orders are some nefarious plot of the left to stand on the necks of citizens is ludicrous.

This is a nationwide issue and all states will react as needed. Be sure, no one likes it. No one.

But it's inane to paint it as some sort of liberal vs conservative issue.

Just because Trump chooses to incite citizens in toss-up states by countering his own administration's suggestions, doesn't make it a liberal/left tactic to oppress the citizenry. He wants to sow chaos, and if history has shown anything...leaders that seek chaos are seeking control.

"Protesting" is most certainly a right, so have at it...just don't forget Washington.

Easy to say when you stay at home everyday anyway like you have said you do. I mean who cares about the 30+ million out of work or the small business that have been destroyed and those owners lose everything.

I mean Maryland and has been under a shutdown order for a month and cases increase. That should tell anyone of intelligence that shutdown orders don't work since the new cases are still getting it from essential business. Open it up and quarantine the weak (elderly especially the nursing homes which account for 48% of Maryland deaths) and weak minded like yourself!

Avoiding a second wave is inevitable. Healthcare workers are being laid off/furloughed now.

Keeping everyone sheltered in will do nothing but make them more susceptible to getting sick & showing symptoms in the long run.

I don't understand what makes it so difficult to grasp this idea? Our bodies need exposure to the various bacteria/viruses/antigens in order to build stronger immune systems.
