Default Is HeatPR unloading his 03-04 Exquisite collection?

I have never seen so many 1st year Exquisite 1/1 cards for sale since the summer it was released.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/383521165407

And about 10 others have been listed recently.

I've hardly seen any 1 of 1s for years and now there's a bunch.

Tim duncan 03 base 1/1 is sweet...

Yeah that thing is a beauty! What do you think is a fair value?

Ah look, I have no idea.

A few years ago maybe in my ballpark as the Golds were selling of TD for $200 so maybe the 1/1 was $1.5k - $2k but now?

I just don't know. The Ben Wallace has gone to auction so we'll see what that ends at.

Wild.

Wonder if he's submitting his application for The One in Beverly Hills.

I would say yes, without a doubt it's him unloading his exquisite 1/1's. Ever since his recent $900,000 sale of the MJ/Lebron logoman to Nat Turner (his name didn't appear in any of the articles, but it was definitely him) along with the Lebron 1/1 Rainbow base and some other monster cards he sold to Turner at the same time, these 1/1's have been popping up. They're all coming from sellers in Florida, where he spent half his time. Guessing he's got a consignment arrangement set up with those sellers. Should be an interesting couple months, he had/has EVERYTHING....I'm sure there will be a lot more than just 1/1's popping up, including Quad patches /3, more low #'d numbers pieces, etc. He also collected the 04-05 set, so I'd imagine those will start popping up as well. There are a ton of low numbered "Titleist" cards from that set that haven't surfaced in ages, I'd expect we'll start seeing some of those as well.

This is good to know. I'll quickly sell my house so I can buy some of those 2004-05 cards.

Out of interest, what's the story behind the seller? Weirdly, despite being around for ages, I'm unfamiliar with the seller. His username vaguely rings a bell but that's all.

I wouldn't really call him a seller, he was more of a collector that only (to my knowledge) collected 03-04 and 04-05 exquisite. He paid above market value at the time and accumulated EVERYTHING that was rare from both of those sets, often with multiple copies of cards that weren't 1/1's. Those who sold a lot to him back then, knew who he was - he had multiple ebay user ID's - primarily lived down in Puerto Rico. I'm guessing someone who was in the know, gave his info to Golding Auctions for them to reach out about brokering a deal between him and Nat Turner for the cards I previously mentioned. I don't know if he was looking to move them finally, or just given a price he couldn't refuse. Also guessing that once he sold that group of key cards, he decided to just slowly unload the rest.

Makes sense. At current prices why not cash in some especially with all the uncertainty out there

Looking forward to seeing these. Hasn't been a sale publicly since 2012. I imagine the MJ would set the record for a non-Logoman Exquisite card other than the LeBron RPA.

Two other cards purchased at the same time as the 900k sale, same buyer and seller. Lebron base 1/1 and Kobe Jordan Logoman 1/1. I can only imagine what they cost. To me, the Lebron base 1/1 should be worth more than the Lebron/Jordan Logoman 1/1.

thats crazy. what would that have fetched when exquisite was new? obviously no one was thinking it was close to a million dollar card when it released.

I believe Nat also acquired the Kobe/Lebron Dual Logoman but hasn't posted the photo. Should have all three 1/1 cards.

https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1356704

This thread from February, shows of some of the other items from the collection, that Goldin Auctions was helping to sell. Like previously mentioned, lots of these cards were sold privately, before the current auction that has the unclaimed items.

I'm guessing the ones popping up on eBay are from the private buyers, looking for a quick flip.

I can't believe that Lebron Exquisite base 1/1 didn't get more attention on these boards (or maybe I missed it?). I mean, that is just an absolutely astounding card. Top 5 ever? Wow.

Yes, I believe he is unloading. Absolutely unreal collection of 1/1's on there right now. So cool to see.
