what i know:

5-25 cent "insertion" fee (depends on how much you submit)
5% final value fee

flips are 5% but working on free "very soon"

found this via instagram and whomever is behind the account is super quick with replies.

competition is always a good thing for us, the consumer.

No, proof isn't necessarily needed when verbiage has many key indicators. Why would someone lead off with "not my site"? That is an immediate red flag that you are attached to the site in some way, but want to seem like you aren't. You mention things that are coming "very soon" like someone who is attached to the site. On top of that, you keep talking about how this competition is a good thing, as if you are trying to talk us into using it over COMC. You wouldn't have be trying to sway people unless you were attached to the site.

All of this, plus more (I feel I have proven my point and don't need to keep quoting), leads me to why I said what I said. You can continue denying it, as there is no way to prove it overwise. And I could be completely wrong. But
when something walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it probably isn't a penguin. Best of luck with the site.

understood. i can see what conclusions you are drawing here. i also find this fun that i'm trying to prove to you that i'm not a liar so i'll keep playing this game with you.

i'll pull a snippet of my exchange with whomever is controlling the Insta account on April 3rd:

me: "interesting site! what are your fees?"

DTL: "...we also have flips that are currently 5% but I will make that free very soon"

i'll send you a screenshot if this doesn't convince you but the reason why i knew was because i simply asked a question via message.

i DO think competition is a good thing in all things commerce. i DO also think that if i was trying to "sway" people to this site, i'm doing a PISS POOR job of it so far, don't you think? that means, i could do better but since i don't have a penny invested and since i'm perfectly happy and pot-committed with my inventory on COMC, i'm not trying to sway anyone, much less myself. i'm just trying to share information on a forum.

i do appreciate you using the duck analogy to basically call me a liar. i also appreciate you acknowledging you could be "completely wrong". see, i understand where you're coming from and since we don't know each other personally, you won't take my word for it. that's fine.

call me a lair. i don't take offense to it. i'm just telling you that you're wrong.

i'd rather talk about cards, if all things are fair. so let's just leave this issue where it stands. it's not going either direction, anyway.

cheers.

In theory - another option would be great.

A site with 500 cards for sale is not an alternative by any stretch - I don't know where they would have to get to become a viable option but it's quite a ways off from the looks of it.

Best of luck to them - works out well if they can move a few of their cards anyway.

agreed. after posting this thread, and thanks to some comments on here, it was apparent that it could be a personal site with a very limited inventory. it's got a long ways to go and that's an understatement.

in hindsight, maybe something i should have just kept to myself.

Just be aware, there is a COMC thread buried somewhere that started very similarly. People did not trust the site at all and thought Tim was going to steal their cards. While people still have problems with it, obviously it did not go down the way some thought. The site could come around, but it just needs some time. I think COMC took at least five years to get it's feet under it.

Yeah, but they never said that they actually received the cards...
