I am thinking 10-20 pack limit per day/per household. Really wonder how/if they will police people from going back for more.

Not many true "1st bowman" names on that checklist. Looks like a bunch of the same retreads we've seen the last few years.

Not that it matters, Jasson or bust I suppose.

Are these worth buying? Maybe I am missing something... No auto's? $15 for a pack of 10?

I know we have Jasson Dominguez and Witt Jr... But I just can't justify spending $15 on a pack of 10 cards knowing there is no auto...

Can someone help me understand this?

It's called FOMO.

Is this a smart buy? No.

Is it fun and an enjoyable use of disposable income? Yes!

No one wants to be the guy who didn't get packs!

And yes, there are autos. Chrome autos. Probably super rare, but they did say they are in the print run. Rest is all paper base.

You're not missing anything. Topps has taken the junkiest cards in Bowman, put a new stamp on them, and packaged them into something that people will buy.

It is Bowman that is all that matters. Also that 2020 Bowman is delayed and people want something to bust.

I did a spreadsheet of everything in regard to 1st/no auto/complete retread I'll share later in the rolling thread & do something with -- it'll just get lost here.

So a "box" of this would be almost double a normal hobby box? How is this a good buy?

So many questions could be answered by taking 2 minutes to just read the information out there already.

It's a horrible buy. But people want something new and Bowman to rip, so it'll sell out regardless.

Plus, throw in the fact that it's "exclusive or limited" and everything thinks there is a buck to be made flipping it. Even though the autograph chrome cards will be easily searchable.

Regardless, if you have some disposable income, it can be fun. A lot of fun. Just not profitable in the long run.

At face value $15 for a pack of 10 bowman paper cards is absurd and insanely expensive. But it is a near 100% certainty that these will sell out instantly and be resold for $40-50 a pack, so we might as well try to buy them anyway.

Yeah came here to say exactly this. Checklist either 1) gives no additional info on what other goodies might be in Bowman 2020 or 2) confirms that Bowman 2020 is going to be Jasson or bust.

I think this is a solid guess. If you do the math assuming there are 500 sky blues you get 6,250 total boxes.

Given the fact that these can very likely be searched for the main value piece (chrome autos), they should have minimal resale value.

That being said, they will have tremendous resale value because people are stupid.

Curious why you think resale value is so high if it will be obvious which packs will have autographs? Do you think paper base parallels will triple the pack price alone?

The pricepoint isn't great, but with how marked up 2020 Bowman was by distributors anyway, I feel like this isn't that bad of a price relatively speaking.

And that's how they get you.

Huge markups make things look better than they are.

And at $15 per, are people going to be paying $360 for a box of Bowman?

With no guaranteed auto odds.......
