Pretty sure my state, NY, has 700+ people dying regularly and you’re “bored” and want to go back to normal. God bless you for feeling bored while thousands die. Understand what this is and do it once. Don’t reopen to have a second wave hit AND then have to shut everything down for another 4 weeks.

Where do you have to be right now? What’s open?

People live like this. It’s not pleasant but imagine the 1600’s. Times must have been rough without the cell phone and electricity to your house

Maybe it’s because China expelled A number of US journalists last month?

Good question. Russia is another mystery. Not much being reported about the impact there.

Hint:
Es no bueno in Siberia. Lots of buzz starting to come out, even Putin admitted “we don’t have anything to brag about”, which is the equivalent of a normal person saying, “We’re doomed”.

Your fascination with me is hilarious between being mentioned in your profile to your multiple posts about me. However, much to your chagrin, I am not into male groupies. I am flattered though.

Between jdands and myself, we must have been mentioned at least 10 times in the last week by several triggered members.

Pulling one out from the zona playbook I see. I’m suppose to stay inside because your state’s density increases the frequency of those that may get sick? Cool. I guess I’ll start living based on what other states do.

Weird post.

I stuck around to see how fast you would respond. The response doesn't shock me.

Very easy when you have your link right there.

Again, I am flattered but not interested.

Keep well.

People are currently protesting in Michigan over 'excessive quarantine'. Tons of people not wearing masks, out of their cars next to people. I just see the headlines in 2 weeks at all these people getting sick because 'their rights are being violated' and they just had to act like idiots.

So embarrassed for my state.

Unfortunately, this is what we are going to see around the country until Governors start opening things back up. People (including myself) are going a bit stir crazy with the current situation.

Being stir crazy doesn't mean you should go to your state capitol and act like an idiot.

When everything is closed longer, I'll know who to blame. (the idiots in Lansing right now)

Or, they don't get sick but no one will mention that. Time will tell.

I'm not saying it is the right thing to do, because it is not, but we will see it more and more as time goes on. People are getting antsy with the weather getting nicer and summer months ahead. This is just human nature. Eventually, the citizens of this country are just going to make decisions on their own on what they are and aren't going to do. There will be riots if stuff continues to be locked down.

PSA -

My apologies if this has been mentioned before but everyone should check in with their personal auto insurance provider. Many/most are offering some sort of discount, refund, credit of some sort during this outbreak.

California DOI has mandated premiums to go back to the policy holders, I would expect other states to follow suit. Regardless, most insurers are have been very proactive in offering this discount.

To give proper credit, Allstate was the first company to offer any sort of refund - prior to any other companies or any state involvement.

Note - I work in the insurance world however I represent Allstate in absolutely no capacity.

I have Progressive. They have mentioned a 20% credit for April and May.

What is Allstate offering $ or % wise?

I honestly cannot remember. There were little differences between how they were all structuring the returned premiums but they all appear to be pretty close to the same. Some are a higher percentage at a one time payout, some are a flat $50 per vehicle rebate, some are lower percentage returns further into the future.

I can't say that any of them stood out as far better or far worse than the others.

No different than Trump wanting it both ways. Blame the Governor's for not acting soon enough, not having PPE, ect and then taking credit for reopening the economy. It is classic Trump the narcissist.

2018-19 80,000 people died from the flu. We didn't shut down the country. Open it back up.
