I have a PSA 5 that I’m never selling or upgrading because my dad and I pulled it from a box in 1986 (or whenever it released, I don’t know exactly when we opened it). If it’s something that you have any sentimental attachment to, that might be worth more than a number on a plastic case. Keep it and the story of how you got it, it’s worth more than a few bucks.

These cards are going for what now over $4000 in that condition? The ONLY thing that worries me is if PSA becomes obsolete or a name that will be tarnished based on the grading scandal. Other than that, I'd bury this card with me and would love to own one.

I am currently in a similar dilemma, I have a 6.5 in my son's legacy collection. I have decided to list it at a ridiculous price on ebay. I am extremely confident that prices will come back down, so I would be open to selling now and upgrading a better grade down the road.

I could be wrong, but I am comfortable with being a jackass and selling now then having to pay way more to get another 6.5 down the road too haha

I didn't even check the prices, if you want some cash I'd sell it now I can't see them sustaining these pumped prices too long.

what is that at the top right corner of the card? scratch on back of case? crack? cardboard fiber still attached to the card when it was encapsulated?

What I said was that I would consider selling if the $ was right and I could reasonably expect the price to drop back to some kind of sensible level. And even then, such a price would be difficult for me (personally) to pull the trigger considering I bought it when the baseline price was sub 1K. Got it?

Your being somewhat of a tool here. You asked for opinions and he gave you one with a question attached.

Personally, you say you don't need the money. So don't sell. I pretty much can guess this card won't be going down in price in the future. It's on almost everyone's collecting list. You basically answered your own question with the statement above so there really isn't much more to discuss.

Whatever, I'm trying to determine if what the group's opinion on whether it will return to a somewhat normal level and it seems like some think yes, some say no. So that is valuable info for me.

What are you talking about? I think there is a smudge from the back of the scan, no fiber on actual card

Just out of curiosity, if one was to sell a Jordan RC PSA 7 let's say for 4k this month, and then next month, they back down to 2K or whatever, is there anything to prevent a buyer to request/be issued a refund (if card sold thru eBay).... Isn't this a possible / likely scenario for buyers that bit off more than they could chew and then they see prices come back down dramatically?

Default Bump

Bump, the question still remains..... I honestly still don't know what to do. I guess I'm glad my second guessing held me back in April....Now the card sits around 10K....and my situation isn't much different. What do you think? Also, I bumped this for those who commented to see if they were right/wrong, or not.

Keep it. From what I can see it's a good looking 7 and as you're probably aware by now these things are only going up in value.
