Stop twisting yourselves. What if I told you every piece of legislation from both sides has included that language for the last 78 years when referring to the power of the treasury secretary?

It's literally copy and pasted from previous bills. It's not new, it's what the language has been since FDR.

Today however, it's useful.

Dopes.
It’s amazing that the Republicans want to give money without rules to big business. More money to CEOs and stock buy back instead of saving it for situations like this.

No thanks. Full pay for people that are off is a no go. Some pay, ok. Many of us are still working, sorry but Bernie isn't in charge.

Full pay, yes. If we can afford all the BS for big business then we can afford it for the people.

My wife is still working and we aren’t Bernie people.

They need to do away with these BS parties and be for the people. Hopefully this Coronavirus opens a lot of people’s eyes as to how the government operates under pressure.

Sen. Rand Paul's colleagues in the Senate are calling him out after he reportedly refused to practice social distancing after testing positive for the coronavirus. Paul, who later tested positive, used the Senate pool and gym after being tested.
Then we have this Kentucky clown....

Depends on the industry. Why are you working vs. why not. If you’re classified non essential and working, that’s on you for being a company puppet.

I guess I've been trained that I don't want to pay for someone to have healthcare that doesn't want to work.

Unless it is is big business. Some have the money saved from 2008. It’s not like they bought back stock or gave massive bonuses.....

Oh, wait

Such a blanket statement.

Of course there will those who do not want to work. I would think that there are more who do work but do not earn much and do not have the benefits that we do.

I prefer to give to those who work but are not entitled like I am with my benefits.

Oh, wait

I’m talking about small family owned businesses, not big publicly traded companies

But it will include the ones that just want to play the system. That is what I don't agree with. Call it a blanket statement if you want.

Yeah, a lot of lot established norms are out the window these days, and your ilk has largely cheered those reckless changes out of self-interest, regardless of how irresponsible they were for the good of the larger public. Time for anything that gives the likes of Mnuchin a blank check to go, and a lot more besides.

I long ago crafted something based on your pathology that you used for your signature for a time, oddly, and that sentiment is truer today than it ever was. You must know by now nothing you say could ever matter to me, because I would never look at the world through your warped prism.

I mean, if you told me, for instance, that a sports team was dead in the water, I might bet heavily on them, but that's the extent of it.

Good chat, but this'll be our last one.
So long.

That's a lot of words to say absolutely nothing noteworthy.

I would rather have 95 low income workers and 5 deadbeats get healthcare than none of them.

You?

Money to the people.
Money to small business.
Money to big business but no stock buyback or ceo bonuses.

Would you be okay with this?
Can't believe I'm going to do this, yes but with a small change.

I am a huge proponent of voter ID. However, the ID has to be free and more voting centers. I also want those who were convicted of a crime and now free to be able to vote.

Almost 7,000 posts. Granted they're all from goofballs on a sportscard message board.
Plenty of answers, just not ones that fit your hatred of our president.
