Default eBay return help please

It’s been years since I had to return anything on eBay and I want to make sure I choose the right option. I received a trimmed book. Should I choose item not as described or item doesn’t seem authentic (or does it matter)?
FYI - seller is lisabailey1978 - I purchased the ASM 360. Looking through their other books I don’t think I’m the only one who got a trimmed book.

Yeah, I just returned graded jungle action 5 , 1/8” short, out of square, cleaned terribly, etc

Then books from almar-ent on eBay yielded same. I am making a list of skepticism and watching for some consistencies, other than the fact Cgc can’t grade a book. Key books that do not fill the inner well insert. Unfortunately it’s most of them worth anything. It’s happening too much. These guys will not like the high dollar returns on these sacks of potatoes

A trimmed ASM 360? Seems like a low value book to risk their ebay account on.
Ive seen dumber things I guess.

Contact the seller, tell them the book doesn't match the description as you feel it is trimmed, but make sure you read any item description and see if they mentioned it in their posting. If they didn't and indeed is trimmed then the seller should simply make it right. If they don't, just open up a dispute with eBay and select item not as described, it will give the buyer an opportunity to respond to the case a well. If you don't get satisfaction, you can always escalate it so eBay becomes involved quicker.

I'm finally at a computer so I can add images. The bottom right corner is the most obvious to spot the trim job. In hand you can tell all 3 edges have some trimming. This isn't a high dollar book so when I got it in I just gave it a quick glance and put it off to the side. When I got it out to read it the other day, that's when I noticed the trim. I don't buy high dollar books so I've never really been concerned about trimming; a quick page count is all I normally do. Guess I better start looking closer at ebay auctions even on lower dollar books

Thanks Speed Racer. I'll go ahead and contact the buyer first and go from there.
