Cost of housing does not mean everyone wants to live there, that is simple economics. A house costing $1 million to build in CA doesn't cost that in Georgia because of less taxes, lower wages, lower material costs.

From the Sacramento Bee...

Here are the top five cities that people from the Sacramento region chose when they decided to move from California in 2015. BY NICK PEREZ

Texas, Arizona, Nevada and Oregon apparently looked pretty good to a lot of Californians last year.

About 691,000 people left California to live in other states in 2018, new census estimates indicate. At the same time, roughly 501,000 people came to California from other states, creating a net loss of about 190,000 residents in 2018.

From 2015 to 2017, California saw a net loss of between 129,000 and 143,000 residents to domestic migration each year, according to census estimates. (The state’s population continues to grow — though relatively slowly — due to migration from abroad and births.)

Why does GA have lower taxes, wages and material costs? Because less people want to live there. Why are the property values still so much higher in CA even if people are leaving? Because there are still millions more people that don't want to leave that are keeping housing prices up.

If you are going to try to insult my intelligence, first come back with a much less stupid rebuttal.

Iran has the virus now. It’s spreading like wildfire. Wonder what the next virus will be talked about to spread fear and get clicks/ratings by the media?

People going to California were probably illegal immigrants.

Tons of people move to Georgia every year. It has to be up there for growing in population. A lot of Californians have been moving due to the movie industry. What are the stats on those wanting to move to Georgia?

You are the reason more people aren't moving there.

Mrs. Boo makes weekly visits so the state grows fairly large on her visits

Bud, your taxes will go up because working class real money making individuals are leaving !

That means the RICH and now YOU will pick that slack up. And when you start raising taxes on the RICH, they can’t virtue signal any longer for the poor immigrant. They will turn on you and whoever you are enabling to steal from tax payers ! Just watch it isn’t rocket science. It’s going to be sad and a huge I told you so moment.

You’re replacing working class with under the table paid labor you stooge. Got it ?!?!?!

Good lord.

Had to move some Mahomes cards for it but it’s worth the extra protection. Shipped from China so you know it’s good.

If it comes in the next 14 days, burn it.

Desirability isn’t a tangible universal quality, so saying housing price equals desire ability is a hasty assumption.
