Just getting back from Supercuts where I asked for the "Chuck Todd," what did I miss?
Did Steyer ask for Bloomberg's autograph?

For someone who claims to be high and mighty because he doesn't have a Facebook account, you sure do have a direct line to some of their best stuff.

I mean, these are the people with whom we're supposed compromise with and find common ground?
How do you do that without removing yourself from reality and accepting (poorly written) fiction from shameless opportunists looking to exploit others' paranoia and bigotry as a valid point of view?

Edit:
One that you can make an argument for: Cut military finding. -Is it due to the military not needing ground troops before we had this awesome technology? Do we really need billion dollar fighter jets? Is it cheaper to wage cyber warfare over a hot war? ________________ Original post below Maybe in an alternate reality. Serious questions: -How do you believe a meme that isn't truthful over our FBI (among several intel agencies) on Russia meddling? -Do you believe in the moon landings? -Was 9-11 an inside job by Bush and the Israelis? -Sandy Hook was staged? -Is the Earth flat? Where does one draw the line on reality and alternate reality? It is a bit unnerving when people believe fiction like the above especially when it involves making choices on voting for a leader who promotes and supports groups like QAnon. At this point, I am not heckling you. I seriously want to know how you support many of the statements you made in this thread. MSM is generally correct even if there is a slant. When they misreport, I find that more times than not it is due to wanting to "get the scoop out first." They [MSM] will generally retract publicly their misinformation. You do not see that with these pop up "news sources." Quote:

He is the chief law enforcement officer of the US, he does not care.

The problem for Trump that forced him to issue this week's "show" pardons (which are mere preludes towards the real goal of pardoning the likes of Trump co-conspirators like Stone and Flynn) is that those cheap criminals would turn on Trump in an instant if they were faced with any real jail time. Ideally, but some people may be too far gone. You're from Texas, right? As a citizen of the Republic, were you made privy to details us outsiders might not know about Scalia's "murder"? The other stuff that on the left side of the graphic is only slightly less ridiculous. The right side is the full-blown fever dream of Rusty Shackleford. That said, if the Obama stuff was true, you'd think the nuclearization of North Korea & Iran would really bother the Chezter as it is demonstrably occurring under the Trump regime, not to mention the weakening of the command of military generals as Trump has called them weak losers and famously claimed to know "more" that any of them. We are through the looking glass when a big chunk of people cheer that garbage from the mouth of a known draft dodger. Off to work. That New World Order won't pay for itself. Have a nice day, fellows...

That's pretty good. Nice NBK reference. Go back to the horror film threads. I actually like you there.

You can't argue with extremist views and content, and "The 16 Year Plan to Destroy America" is absolutely that...extremist.
It's not political discourse, it's not forward or free-thinking, it's blind belief in wild theories to somehow make one feel empowered and part of something bigger. It's fear-mongering to activate people on the societal outskirts. It's problematic, especially in a day like today where the instant dissemination of information can take advantage of people on the fringe socially, mentally and/or physically who seek belonging, before logic and rational thought come into play. Bluntly, this is how ISIS and many other extremist ideologies recruit.

I do wonder how well the economy will play out this year if the Corona Virus continues to wreck havoc in China. I was reading some analysis and it seems like China's economy is not all that it's made out to be. They're highly leveraged and don't have the most reliable banking system. As things continue to shut down and remain closed, it'll begin to affect a lot of manufacturing which in terms will affect a lot of companies over here. You've already seen Apple come out and issue revenue guidance warnings, which when they do that, they've usually missed guidance by a decent amount. I have to wonder if some of the predictions I read about do play out and cause us to have a weakened economy, how does that impact the election? Trump has hung his hat on being one of the sole causes for the rise in the stock market, so does he own it when it goes down? Obviously not, but if you're moderate or independent and see that, do you still vote for him or do you vote Dem/stay home?
I think the year will be very interesting to watch economy wise. Lots of things could happen to really cause it to correct a bit. When I see a meme stock like SPCE have this giant rise in price while only having revenue of something like $800K, that makes me nervous. It's like the story of JD Rockefeller getting out of stocks once a shoe shine person started giving him stock tips. |
