Respect is earned, not given. In the past we have had men who were respectable hold the office of president, regardless if you agreed with their policies or not. I hated Bush's policies but still granted him respect and still cheered for him when he threw out the first pitch. With Trump we are in an entirely different era. Why should anyone show this man respect when he insults people on a daily basis, calls members of his own party that dont support him ''human scum'', discredits and discounts our own intelligence agencies, etc? When he shows others respect and conducts himself in a respectable manner then I will grant him respect.

Bernie Sanders said Tuesday night that he is not planning to release any additional medical records.

Speaking during CNN's town hall in Las Vegas, Sanders was asked to clarify whether his presidential campaign would be releasing full medical records, which he previously stated he would do.

At the time, he said, "The people do have a right to know about the health of a senator, somebody who's running for president of the United States -- full disclosure."

This is the most sensible thing in this entire thread. It's nearly impossible to have any respectful political discourse anymore.

The bottom line is that neither party cares about any of us. They say a bunch of great stuff while campaigning and rarely get anything substantial done because of government red tape.

Honest is relative when you are taking about Republicans and Democrats. He will just be more honest than his opponent. The bar is low.

This isn’t how the scoreboard mentality works.

I remember reading in 2015/16 how Hillary was also on death’s door.

Bold strategy to tie your vote to who you think appears the healthiest. The people who are voting for Bernie care about the ideas, not the man. If Donald Trump was espousing the same ideas they’d vote for him.
