He's getting more comfortable. He used to be so passive at times and almost timid and not trying and do too much. He used to disappear for long stretches. I think it's just the natural growing process. He's young, he's still only 21.

Like ive mentioned before he has all the tools to be a dominant player. He's a good shooter has decent handles, athletic, can get to the rim when he wants. It's not his ability that was holding him back, it's the way the team is made up and sharing offensive responsibilities.

The modern NBA is to build around one or two players and fill out the rest of the team with role players that compliment them. The Celtics are the opposite of that. They have a bunch of really good players with no alpha. They're built very much like the Spurs teams that were successful. It's hard for one person to stand out on a nightly basis because that's just not how they're built. He definitely could though if given the opportunity.

Here's a pretty impressive stat on Tatum courtesy of celticsblog.com:
Tatum became just the 4th player in NBA history to record at least 3000 points,1000 rebounds & 150 made three pointers before the age of 22. Those other three players were Kobe,Lebron & Durant.

And the games played to reach these totals were:
Kobe 266 games
Lebron 266 games
Durant 239 games
Tatum 209 games

I made the mistake of looking on eBay this morning to see how much his cards had jumped.

I had purchased 4 2017-18 Optic PSA 10s on COMC a year ago for $10 each. Sold them this year for $30 each and felt good about it.

Prices started climbing a week or so later.

They hit $220 this week. And it’s that’s just for PSA 10 base card.

I felt a little sick lol but still happy I at least made money in the end.

The two younger guys I am very high on is Tatum and Luka. Simple- they each have that mentality where they want to be the one to take the last shot when it matters. I’ve been very high on Tatum and haven’t ever been higher. His last month of play was unreal. He’ll continue to develop and fill His body out.

Having said that- there are many cards of his still wildly undervalued compared to others. Prizm silver now catching up.

Love tatums potential. Just got back a green prizm and ruby wave rc from psa. Debating on what to do with them. I think the green is a really under appreciated card just looks so nice!

The green Prizm's look really nice. Matching Celtics colors. I had a green pulsar /25 and sold it not too long ago. I still got several other nice Tatum's though so all is not lost.

Love the green to match the team colors....Tatums flawless auto patches are the only ones where emeralds look sick, simply Because of the Jersey.
