https://www.factcheck.org/2017/01/ei...rolling-obama/

"A YouTube video titled “Obama Admits He Is A Muslim” has been viewed nearly 17 million times since April 2009. But it’s totally bogus and the result of deceptive editing.

For example, when Obama says “I am one of them,” he doesn’t mean that he is a Muslim. He was talking about being like others who either have Muslim relatives or have lived in countries with large Muslim populations. At other times, the video edits out the words “I’m a Christian” and “my Christian faith” from Obama’s quotes."

This is getting old. He is either a troll or a gullible simpleton.

So we should not believe anything that the multiple large news media groups that have been around for decades? Even when we see and hear it for ourselves?

We should just believe those pop up sites like The Gateway Pundit or Christian Times Newspaper? Alex Jones, the guy who said Sandy Hook was staged, is an honest guy for your go to news?

I'm saying that even "trusted" news sources can be full of crap, too. Or even worse, sit on damning stories. Remember when it came out that ABC squashed Epstein knowledge? Other sites are less strict. Some for good, some not.

You make a very good point. I'm very much for trusting your eyes/ears/instincts, even when others try and sway you the opposite way.

You do realize that just because your party lost the election you didnt have to lose your sense of humor along with it right?

Besides, I thought anti-Trumpers didn't have jobs to stay home from.

Whatever, we can still take the day to celebrate Presidents who didn't lose the popular vote by 3 million.

The truth can't be stopped ultimately. It isn't hiding only in the shadowy corners of people like chezball's minds even as those same people tell us not to believe what we can see with our own eyes. If any of their bizarre theories were actually true, nothing could stop them from being widely known. No one has that kind of power. The Junior Rusty Shackleford Patrol sure is out in force today, though. Hmmm. What can it mean?

Why wasn't Sinclair sued? Because only morons and halfwits believed it. And sued for what? Slander? Defamation of character? Most mail order attorneys know that public figures have a lot more to lose than to gain chasing those cases....mostly time and money.

As far as his records being sealed? No clue what you're referring to. Sinclair's records? The guy has quite the public rap sheet. I mean, it doesn't fit you're narrative...so there's that.

As a rule, I don't put much merit into conspiracy theories, because very rarely do they produce anything tangible.

Regarding the connections around the company behind the app and the Buttigieg campaign...cool. Fortunately, both the Sanders campaign and the Buttigieg campaign are working on a recanvas of Iowa....but I don't recall seeing Sanders declaring some vast conspiracy. Both campaigns were in tune with Iowa and the results, long before Iowa released the numbers.

We need to move away from the mindset that connections immediately mean nefarious activity.

This sounds strangely like the "there's good people on both sides" situation.
Can you at least acknowledge both sides stretch the truth?

Boy, you sure have turned into a bitter person. By all means please keep it up with the Astros jokes. It pretty much makes my day knowing you got nothing else.
Maybe some day you'll get your sense of humor back. I'll pray for you.

Can we get a "diet" Politics thread?

One that has all the great flavor of politics without the fattening conspiracy theories?

Disagree. Not talking about any particular idea or theory, but rather the idea that truths can't be squashed with success.

So to be clear:

The DID work against Bernie in 2016, but they're not doing it now?

Hey. Chill out, and take everything the New York Times tells you happened at face value.

The Iowa app people were Clinton people, btw. The idea that the DNC (which, let's be real.. was essentially the Clinton party) mucked things up in favor of her, and against Bernie, in 2016 .. but aren't doing things now, in favor of Pete, and against Bernie .. is ridiculous.

Too many pictures.

The worst are the websites with the articles that say "Page 1 of 20", and you have to click through to each one, getting a popup every time. And the popup advertisement is for the weird fruit that makes you grow 5 inches in size, guaranteed. Or that old guy with the white beard that got shredded with this one simple trick.

In one hand, sure.

You're telling me you wouldn't be ripping the Dodgers if they'd done the same thing to the Astros? Right. You'd be blaming Hollywood or something oddball like that as we speak. One of your players even made a racist gesture mocking a pitcher whose signs they'd stolen in that series. Uggh.

I am a lifelong Dodger fan, sir, and it is also my responsibility to assign regret to cheaters who have been caught. This is an unfortunate mix for your team (and the no-account man you make excuses for) here. Sorry they are right back to never having won a title, but where's your sense of humor? With your sense of shame? Your current avatar remains an affront to anyone who values fair play in baseball. Those jokes I told were all ones you called for, and they will certainly continue.
