Wasn't me, but I did come to see what was reported. The ban is fair. We don't want that on this forum.

FTR, we have banned 2 (for the same thing) and suspended none. Very few posts are being reported so the mod team is staying away. If you keep the politics here in this thread, we have no desire to disturb you at all. We just don't want it out of this thread.

The 2A was written when all we had were muskets and canons. Had the framers known what kinds of wonderful weapons of war man could create, I think they would have been a bit more clear as to what kind of arms we could bear.

Back then it was newspapers, pamphlets and letters? Now information travels too fast to even verify.

What about the freedom of religion? I mean they were all Christians and really what they wanted was freedom to practice their Christian religion outside of government oversight. So does it not apply to other religions?

The second amendment is not about the types of arms, it’s about the right to own them without government infringement.

The United States has significant problems. Legal gun ownership is not one of them.

As a gun owner myself, I believe in legal gun ownership and I believe in being a responsible gun owner. I have personal limits in that I have zero interest in carrying (open or concealed).

That said, I'm sure you're aware of the definition of "amendment" is because it was in fact "legislated" in and added to the Constitution. So the fact that it's a constitutional right that cannot be taken away is simply incorrect.

Of course, how it was written is all about interpretation and commas. We all know and accept that there are indeed limits to the Second Amendment. For example, fully automatic rifles are not allowed and Trump signed off banning bump stocks. So there are limits, and I think most responsible gun owners have no problem with additional rules/regulations regarding ownership.

Regarding insults, I'm certainly not hurling insults to my knowledge...broad sweeping generalizations about the prepper culture? Guilty. If that's you, I assure you that I won't make it about you.

I believe that companies the shelter their profits offshore through a series of "paper" companies should lose all protections afforded to them as American companies.

I believe in the notion that yes, there is such a thing as "too much" and that greed isn't always good.

I believe that America and Americans are too sensitive as a whole...bit that doesn't mean we need to be inconsiderate pricks to those who are different.

You and I share the same beliefs on everything you wrote.

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness for the average American depends very much on new developments in the real world the Founders could never have foreseen. Our "absolute" rights have been adapted (abridged, if you prefer) for purposes of ensuring public safety in the past. We used to be allowed to falsely shout "fire!" in a crowded theatre. We used to be able to duel with pistols to settle a matter.
