I like the people at Platinum Breaks. They are always straight-forward and honest with their breaks which is why they have such a strong customer base. I do not break much but when I do it is with them.

Totally agree that it's a douche move, but I'm not sure that it's trashier than drawing a dick on the card with a sharpie. That would be *really* trashy.

Basically saying I can buy any of you guys (his customers) out of your cards and I'll do whatever I please with them. He knows everything, the customer is wrong and has no respect for the hobby as a whole.

Pretty much anti-PR 101, sadly this will all blow over when the next big product comes out.

Wow, just wow. Owner of the card can do whatever he or she wants but what a dick move. I’d be pissed if that was a John Wall 1/1. Guess he has more money than brains.

Another 35 or so parallels to destroy and then I would say they are onto something...

You break with a group of losers who tried to pass of Bowman "hot packs" to their customers until they got caught here.

I mean a cool thing to do would be to send the card to the guy he pulled it for and refund his break spot....... or buy the guy out of his spot (with some extras for the stuff up) and donate the card to a young Bulls collector......so many way he could have spun this positively yet he does this.....

What a waste.

Is it weird that I find myself wanting the pieces of the now-infamous None-of-One card?

I can never understand why people break with them in the first place.

Their prices are higher than most breakers for almost every product. They are not enjoyable to listen to/watch and their ego far outweighs the little customer service they occasionally provide.

Agreed. Also not a fan of layton..they actually annoy me more with the constant BOOM!!!! Comments on $1.00 cards.

At least Layton is honest, I've asked him about certain products and he's given me his exact pricing, why a break is this much, what is his profit margin on the product.

What a loser. I would love to hear Panini's response about a well known breaker ripping 1/1 cards in half because he can on live stream. Doesn't bode well for either.....

What a waste.
I would have had a ton of respect for them if they proved the card wasn’t damage and then called out the people who were calling them out. Instead they don’t show any clear images of the card surface so it leads me to believe the card was actually damaged. Instead of ruining the card they could have showed it, apologized, had a little humility and then kept the card intact. It shows no respect for the hobby. Yes he bought the card, but he’s also in the industry. Destroying the items he is trying to make a living off of it stupid on so many levels. Shows disrespect for the collectors. Also, all the d-bag talk about “haters” and smacking mothers was pathetic. The dude had a full blown temper tantrum then spent 10 minutes having his cronies validate his meltdown.

Pretty telling when 90 percent of his chat participants are mods.
when it comes to mod through there as long as you purchase something you get modded up

You hit the nail on the head. Disrespect is ultimately that it comes down to. Also, don't sh*t where you eat.

The comments are off on that post. So we will never know the responses from collectors.

"Just wanted to make sure that we took care of our customer and not want to have a damaged card in circulation."

Stupidest excuse. Sure take care of the customer. It is a 1/1 though so even if it is damaged, there is still value to a Markkanen collector.

If you aren't in the wrong, why turn off the comments?

The original question was something to the effect of, "Hey Platinum Breaks, what happened with this card?" A simple answer would've sufficed. Maybe even, "I'll stop watching TV for 10 seconds so I can mag this card correctly."

I have never had them do anything bad to me. G actually took care of me and let me buy back a card that I sold to him so I could resell it because I had received a offer 3x higher than what he offered me. Something he didn't have to do.

That’s something I would do. Add some hair to the balls for authenticity. Maybe add some highlighter to simulate peepee.
