You know what else is booming at LCS’s....Retail at 25% msrp markup. The odds of me seeing retail at a LCS before Aaron Judge...0% Unless it was a 2011 Update Blaster

Breaks are driving their sales and Covid driving those breaks. Can it be called an LCS anymore?

Only a 25% markup is not bad at all.

Most good LCS don't buy the retail at Target and mark it up... they're buying it already marked up from the distributor. My LCS barely marks stuff up above cost - I don't think the LCS are KILLING it like the distributors/breakers are.

Compared to the norm your right...there appears to be a downward trend. $35 w/free ship seems to be the best.

Circled back to my store today. I really did need a loaf of bread, forgot yesterday in the grip of Chrome fever. My hunch was correct - the rep came a day late. So I got to see what an empty 2020 Chrome cardboard display box looks like. Are those collectibles yet?

A mere 17 months ago, this store had more unsold 2018 Update on the shelf than 2019 S1 or Heritage were even set out at release time for those 2.

I almost bought some Optic. Cameron Maybin does always look like he is having a good day.

I walked into a LCS tonight that had 2020 Bowman at $400 and jumbos at $800

I'm surprised as well. For all the people that didn't get any and are complaining - seems like demand is higher than it really is or people are just concerned with making a quick buck..

I’m wondering if supply will be like bowman, bowman mega where I was clearing the shelf the first few weeks, but eventually there was so much supply I was just walking past it.

I will say I really like the product so far, had some great pulls, and the product itself is outstanding. I’ve bought about $450 worth of retail so far, and I’ll probably buy more next week depending on what kind of luck I have with Chronicles.

Must be nice to have that problem..I literally saw bowman once at Target and once at Target and that's it. Also found a measly 3 Megas once

Yeah must be nice. Without Target limits I probably would have found exactly 0 Bowman mega boxes.

Yeah I hit chrome twice so far this week. Thursday I ran into the rep while she was stocking and hung out and chatted with her for about 45 min while she went through all her boxes. She had 11 boxes to unpack, and on like the 10th box she had chrome. There was really only one other guy that came through in that time. She suggested i only take 5 boxes so I did, she knows I mostly prefer basketball so if I see her again I’ll try to get her to let me take more than 5 since she knows that’s what I collect.

I hit a few Walmart’s next and was too late at the first two, just empty chrome trays, but the third one I walked in and jackpot, looked like I was the first one there and I took it all. I’ve always done better at target than Walmart but I feel like I have the Walmart schedule pretty dialed in now so we’ll see what happens next week. I’ll probably get skunked because I’m too confident lol.

And do you know how much bowman blasters are selling for now?

Last time I checked about msrp. I ripped as much as I wanted, then started passing it up. Same with mega. I probably have ~10 blasters of each I’m sitting on.

I like chrome way better than either version of bowman, I’d be willing to sink a couple hundred more into it for ripping, depending on how the Chronicles search goes next week. I already pulled the Lou Bob auto redemption, probably just downhill at this point. I have no idea on print runs, but if you’re patient you may end up finding chrome at msrp if you haven’t already.

A little worried about LouBob Auto population. I pulled one and two other guys in relatively small Facebook groups did as well. I redeemed immediately - how long do you expect to fulfill? I've never sent in a redemption..

The demand and hype for Chrome is real. Hobby and Jumbo boxes are flying off the shelves at all of my LCS in California. Prices are around $250 / Hobby and $400 / Jumbo right now if you have a good relationship with your LCS but they seem to be going up. Packs are going for like $12 for Hobby and $35 for Jumbo. I'm convinced it's because we've all been in quarantine this entire year and are bored and need some excitement in our lives

If demand so high why is retail so cheap on eBay?

Because the supply went to eBay en masse, thus my comment. We want to just buy it off the shelf ourselves, but

Bought a hobby box for $180 in a Facebook group to be ripped live.
Autos were Brendan McKay and the Red Sox rookie (forgot the name, but the guy who signs in thick black sharpie for some reason).
Did also get Luis Robert non-auto refractor and green refractor.
Was surprised to see how high his non-auto parallels are selling for on eBay.

Have tried some PYT group breaks with Cubs and Marlins, but nothing notable so far for those besides Hoerner base auto and his image variation (non-auto).

Hope I get some nice stash of top rookie base cards from 10 blasters coming from Topps.com order next week.

Haven't seen it mentioned here yet, but the Topps Update preview cards of Bichette and Lux are not rookie debuts. Strange right? Search on eBay for images.
