One thing in particular that I'm not too fond of from Panini; the RIDICULOUS amount of...."premium swatches/patches" that they keep dumping into their (our) products, only to have said items be PLAYER WORN as opposed to being actually GAME USED! A perfect example was Immaculate Collegiate. Just taking into consideration the Top 3 picks, I must've seen NO LESS THAN 30 or so Nike Logos, laundry tags, etc. I mean,...come on!??! That was the whole "chase" of these premium/prime pieces. So what do they do?? Send Zion, Ja, and Player X,...a package with 10 jerseys each,...ask 'em to throw each on for a second or two and then repeat for the other 9?? And for their..."on card autos",...send 'em 100 or so blanks/spacers and put a "SIGN HERE" arrow for where they should put their auto??

I do like Panini products, overall, but some things just really perplex my mind
I'm all in favor of profit & efficiency, but on the same token, there comes a threshold when it ceases being profit & efficiency, and becomes (theoretically) greed & laziness/lack of care.

I think collegiate stuff has always just been player worn, but for NBA vets everything is game used. Other than collegiate products, the only other player worn swatches are in rookie cards (except for Flawless, that is the only release that has game worn rookie patches).

In regards to the autos you mentioned, I don't know what you are talking about (I don't mean to sound dismissive, I just really don't know what you are referring to)

If NOTHING else, this gives us a true database of ORIGINAL cards that can hopefully help snuff out some of the patch "swapping" that is so prevalent now.

Has patch-swapping ever occurred with Logomen though? I can't imagine it has. Hopefully they do implement that database for their other releases though

True, guess I was assuming this would be for the full set run.

I absolutely do not understand this. If they are not 'real' logomans, what's the value of digital panini cards thrown in with them? If they are who really cares about the e-card?

A replica Durant logoman....meh.

Maybe I'm in the minority here tho idk
Pretty much exactly what I thought

All users who purchase one of the digital cards from Panini will also receive a signed replica physical version.
What does replica mean? That seems different than an actual signed logoman card by my understanding of the english language.

If I have xerox copy of a signed Logoman, I don’t consider that equal to the actual signed logo patch card....but maybe I’m in the minority. Should I be hoarding Lebron RPA replica cards right now for $9.99 each?

Panini seems to be all in on this making it part of the main menu bar on their website.

I couldn't get Wayback Machine to work, but was Blockchain, Digital in the past on the menu?

Unless confirmed otherwise, this definitely looks like their version of Epack. Where you can rip digital packs/boxes online and certain "hits" can be converted to physical cards. Like I said though, this can get ugly as buying multiple packs/boxes can be purchased with just a couple clicks of a button. When I tried this I went in with the intent of only buying 3-5 packs... 30 packs later and I had to force myself to stop. Lol

It's legalized gambling made easy. Not that I'm against it - people can do what they want.

Thanks for the clarity. And,...no offense, taken. Re; autos - This:

What Panini does is they have the players sign (print..?? ) their auto to "blanks" (eg. spacers, decoys, whatever one might call them), and then they put them into a sort of post production,...LATER down-the-road,... where they add the images/graphics, etc. The above referenced Zion ( ) is a PERFECT example of such. Sooooooo theoretically-speaking, yeah,...they're "on card" autos. But technically, it's an auto'd blank that reasonably-risks having the auto,...BOTCHED in the post production.

That is not what they do. The foil stamp is the only thing added post the player signing the card.

Agreed. And alot of lives are gonna get destroyed with this new and "revolutionary" method of collecting. Instant gratification for the very small cost of financial ruin.

I'm not going to debate you. It IS what they do, and quite frankly,...I'm not here for your affirmation or refutation!

Panini says the physical card will be an exact representation of the digital card. So they are creating two copies of their best cards. One to put in boxes. One to auction off.

I’m sure there will be a difference in appearance, but there will be TWO Zion NT Logman autos this year.

Could you imagine what would happen to the auto in a production line? It would be destroyed.

Panini stamps the foil after production of the card. That's it

A replica Durant logoman....meh.
What do you mean "not real"? These are National Treasures cards which historically have "game worn" material.

The word "replica" is from an off-sportscard website. I do not trust the validity of any of it considering I don't see a story about this posted elsewhere meaning there was a press release.

The stamp would be the least of Panini's issues if they did things the way you are suggesting.

Where did Panini state this?
