I guess in AEW tag team matches, you don’t even have to be standing on the ring apron in your own corner to be tagged in; or even have to tag in to be considered legal. From now on, I am just going to assume that every tag team match is a tornado match. Speaking of AEW rules and refereeing, I can’t stand Aubrey Edwards. She always has to have her own spot in every match she is officiating, whether if it’s her over-dramatic reactions or her fights with Jericho.

Really solid show tonight aside from the predictable tag team matches, At least the fans were still into the matches. I felt bad for SCU vs Dark Order. No one cared after a minute after Jericho and crew came out

i have really been enjoying all the aew stuff. but, the tag team stuff is getting ridiculous. as was said, we need to just say everything is a tornado match. that and it is way to obvious when they are trying to help each other pull off moves. Making it obvious when they are crawling to a specific spot, standing still while someone punches your partner and then you.

Even JR was trashing the lack of rules in the tag matches.

I don't think it's gonna change cause the Bucks have said in interviews this is how they think tag team wrestling should be, which to their credit is definitely an alternative and something different from what we see in WWE.

I did hear one of the announcers say (forget which one) that the other person has 10 seconds to get out of the ring after a tag, which you can tell that rule gets bent quite often just like the 10 count outside the ring in WWE. Just gonna take some time to get use to. I'm sure JR has be conditioned to think and see one way for 30 years as has most fans so it will definitely take time.

This is the only part that really bugs me. I don't care if they want to have more lenient rules for their tag matches, but it's a step above choreographed dancing at some points.

It's closer to lucha tag rules where once your teammate goes outside to the floor you can enter the match as the legal man than it is traditional wwe rules

Probably the best overall put together episode so far last night. Promos and ending of the show having everyone talking about

Look at few weeks ago Moxley goes in attacks Omega in front of ref and no DQ. AEW loves to ignore rules

To me, Moxley vs Omega was just ok. The announcers really oversold everything that went on during the match. At best, it was comparable to a low-end ECW match... not a deathmatch like a lot of people online are trying to say it is. Calling Mox vs Omega a “deathmatch” is a slap in the face to real deathmatch wrestling.

I was fortunate enough to go to the Full Gear PPV on Saturday night. Great show. The crowd was really into it.

While I thought the Moxley/Omega match was really good, it was obvious that the "barbed wire" wasn't very barbed considering it didn't snag on either of the wrestlers' clothes when they climbed out of it.

I'm pretty sure Cody's face-plant was not planned. When Jericho called for the chair and then sat down in the ring while Cody was being attended to, it felt very spontaneous. For those who watched on tv, was that part shown?

Ricky Morton diving out of the ring with that glorious white mullet flowing in the wind was a thing of beauty.

The heel turn at the end of the Jericho/Cody match was incredible to witness live. The crowd's reaction reminded me of why I still enjoy watching wrestling after all these decades.

As MJF was walking up the ramp after the turn, someone in the front row nailed him in the face with what appeared to be a perfectly accurate bottle of water. MJF got a huge smile on his face. In my mind, at that point, he KNEW that they nailed the heel-turn.

This was the first PPV I've ever been to. Worth every penny.

That must've been a pretty amazing experience! The crowd always seems really into the matches, on the PPV and Dynamite.

Other than watching Wrestlemania each year, I've not really watched a lot of wrestling for a while now. AEW has brought that back really - I only really stumbled on it because of a post by Kevin Smith. Found that I could stream it fairly cheaply on the FITE app so gave it a month and now I'm hooked (although I currently can't watch anything on the app as its broken for some reason. Latest suggestion from FITE was 'buy something else on the app store and see if that makes it work'!).

Anyway, really enjoyed the PPV. All the matches were fun. They did show Jericho calling for the chair and sitting on it - I'm not sure it was planned either. The faceplant onto the ramp looked very awkward, definitely didn't go as planned. MJF taking a cup of water to the face was beautifully timed, and his reaction was good. They did spend too much time after the match on his dismay at having to throw the towel. Between Jericho leaving immediately and the few minutes of 'so sorry' after the match, it was obvious he was going to turn.

Overall, it was great. It feels more innovative than anything that I saw in WWE when I was watching it. Dynamite is a great show, doesn't overdo the promos, its great to hear JR and Shiavone together (although Shiavone was absent for Full Gear?), even though neither are at their best. It reminds me of the glory years of the Monday Night War.

Dynamite is 1000x better/more interesting than anything WWE is putting out.

I'm more entertained with the show and the two hours just fly by.

Unfortunately I never got into NXT when it first started up so I just never have decided to start watching because I feel like I wouldn't really know any of the wrestlers.

I guess I could say the same for most of the AEW wrestlers

both Jericho and Scorpio Skye had some quick comebacks, with Jericho saying Skye's crush has put on some pounds and Skye coming back with the Sir Mix-a-Lot line

For the longest time I'd tape RAW and Smackdown and then fast forward to the parts/matches I'd be interested in and get through each episode within half an hour. Ever since watching AEW I've found myself rewinding so that I can watch some parts again. Have not watched any WWE programs for over a month now
