thanks for all the comments and advice about flipping this. I'm hoping to get a return after everything on it (fees, shipping, etc) because this is just for fun. I just moved, looking for something to do because I'm a lot less busy, and it was still less than a case of Prizm. This way, it also keeps me accountable instead of mixing them with my other collection before sending the extras to COMC.

I got about 2/3 of the cards separated already. I quit taking pics halfway though because it was just going to be sorted again. From the 2/3 I have about 1/2 of them total separated into different brands and years and what not to put them together. I think there's a lot of cool cards in here, lots of neat patches but it's too bad they never did anything.

Be prepared for a bunch of pictures of the cards sorted! Again, post in the thread what you're wanting to reserve or buy. I'll get to the messages when I get a chance.

Also, I wanted to post this card and for some reason it really just caught my eye, it's a sharp looking card. Not sure if it's Prizm that year or the way the color contrasts with some real solid Charlotte Hornets colors. I'm not sure, maybe only I see it, just let me know haha.

This lot was definitely cherry picked on his end. No way he busted that much product and only ended up with those semi stars and 6th men.

I hope you make your money back and some.

For sure, I could tell there wasn't going to be anything in amazing in it by any means but I can definitely tell he put more than $2000 into it. You can see the different cases cracked and how long they've been in, it's kind of cool. Anyways, I definitely think there's profit in it, this is a small side project is all but it'll take awhile I'm sure. Also, few cards might have been mixed together during cleaning our place, only a few of them but 99% are the card show cards.

Went through some more and have about 500 more to sort through (Optic, Select, Fleer, UD) but I kind of picked the best ones. Almost done getting pictures of all them, next I think I might make a spreadsheet for them to track.

I'm thinking of starting a blog where I showcase 1 flip after another, let me know if there are any similar to it or if you'd follow it?

Any info on this Larry Bird card?

A couple 1/1's of some good players.

That bird is an 88 Fournier estrellas. Virtually worthless. I have a psa 10 that ended with no bidders a couple weeks back.

My apologies here.

I have a bid on the 88 Fournier Estrellas Bird. It is for .99 plus shipping. The card is not virtually worthless.

I know/remember the seller from when I lived there. He just buys lots on eBay, doesn't rip anything.

why are you guys all trashing the guy? This is a hobby afterall and the dude already explained that he wants something fun and challenging to do to keep him occupied. I'm sure you all would have spent that $2000 differently but thats you. Let him do him and lets just see where he ends up at the end whether he makes money or not.

Absolutely! I take it the OP is interested in acquiring information on cards just as much as the cards themselves.
If he went to basketball card college, he would be paying way more than $2,000 in tuition.
