I haven't seen this discussed before. I just stumbled onto this seller. Everything he is selling has the "Signatures are taken from an authentic exemplar and digitally transferred"
Reprint signed photos have been around forever. Usually you can spot a forged auto when you see it. But we now can cheaply scan a legit authentic signature, and transfer that onto a jersey, ball, helmet or anything we want? Scary for those of us that collect memorabilia https://www.ebay.com/sch/usconsignco...rt=nc&LH_BIN=1 |

That's unbelievable, looks like he's already sold a framed MJ and Aaron Rodgers jersey for nearly $500 and $700 plus $130 for shipping.

Garbage. Thinly veiled future fakes.

Well, now, that looks like a problem.
-------------edit So, it'd be my guess that they can resize, change angle, change color/ink and, when caught, just find a new authentic example to start all over again. If so, and that's actually ink in some form or fashion (not just printer ink that would actually be identifiable under scrutiny), this presents major issues.

I have seen a flood of Khalil Mack Autographs listed from Taiwan, that look good. I have been very very suspicious that they might be an Autopen or facsimile.

As long as they dont get lazy like Dak with his autopen, they can keep switching things up and cranking out anything they want for as long as they want. Sure, this seller who is making them is saying that are facsimile. But will the next seller? |

But a 3D object? That's briging it to a whole new level, as most would never assume a "transferred" legit auto onto a ball or helmet was even a thing. |

Technology is beginning to make it so you simply cannot trust that a signature is authentic.
Anything for a buck, right? |

I assume the eBay images are stock photos, like it may have been mentioned - I do wonder what the facsimile items really look like in-hand.

I wonder how easy these are to spot in person. Those look like stock photos for some. Like the Josh Jacobs jersey they show has a beckett authentication hologram on it
