Topps 3D baseball set returns for another season On Demand

I honestly don't think the same numbering with flagship will add any value (not any more than it already has anyways).
That's also coming from the thinking that I do not see 3D as "parallel" to their flagship cards.
It's a standalone product that's not for everyone, but rare enough to carry the hype.

Bat Down Acuna is bringing the same price, in my opinion, no matter the number on the back.

Changing the numbers from the 1-100 format makes it a little more difficult to collect the 100-card set. Who on this planet wants it to be more difficult to collect complete sets?

Just bought the last 10 pack lot for $550 with 10% eBay Bucks. Less than what I paid pre-release for some of mine.

Mine are sorted in alphabetical order by last name for now. Seemed cleaner that way.

These cards look incredible in hand - no hypebeast here, just my observations.

Last year’s numbering was straight 1-100 for the base but this year’s has the same numbering as S1, S2, and Update (i.e. Alonso is 475, Guerrero is US1, etc...)

Sad to see the numbering done this way. Would have much preferred the #1-100. I'll see how much it annoys me, but when I try to collect a set I like to be able to have all the numbers. More likely to sell what I have coming in knowing this information.

Yep, I agree! I hate being annoyed by something so dumb.

3D is a set all by itself. It should have been numbered accordingly. Heck, I wouldn't have even cared if they would have numbered the base 101-200, to pick up where last year's set left off. That would have made a lot more sense than a bunch of what I call random numbers in a 100-card set.

Not bad... opened 9 boxes got three Alonso 3D motion, 2 tatis motion, 1 vlad motion. Got two Alonso’s base 2 Keston one Paddack, one McNeil. Some other good cards too they all look nice and don’t have that old Sportflics bend which is nice. Some boxes only had motion rc and no others. Some boxes had the two motion rcs and a couple base rc with them. Fairly happy though would have liked to hit a base tatis and base vlad.

Houdini is doing a 3D random at .75 a spot if you'd like to take a cheap shot at getting some cards.

Haha yeah then there are those who buy upwards of 300 spots in these things... Not that crazy on this but the last Sapphire didn't one guy buy like 300 spots at like $14 each? At the amount why not just buy the boxes yourself?

I won't fault anyone for how they want to spend their money but yeah, as random is random only ended up with Kieboom and Vlad - yikes.

Busted one box and got very lucky. Hit a Tatis and Chavis. In a year of struggling hits for this guy, getting the Tatis made my night!
