Default Top 13 Mike Miller cards

Earlier this year I did a thread on my top 9 of #9, Tony Allen. I enjoyed it, I think some of y'all did, too, so I'm going to do a little run of my other main PC guy.

I was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. As soon as I set foot on the University of Florida campus on a college visit, I fell in love. That was it.

I was there from 1995-99. Football was king at UF - we didn't lose a home football game in four years, and took home a national championship at the Sugar Bowl.

In the spring of my freshman year, Lon Kruger retired to take another job, and in comes Billy Donovan. It took a few years, but my senior year we had a ridiculous incoming freshman recruiting class filled with McDonald's All-Americans. Teddy Dupay...Udonis Haslem...LaDarius Halton...and then a kid from South Dakota, Mike Miller.

He quickly became a favorite, and also played here in Memphis on more than one occasion after I moved here.

So, when I got back into collecting, he was an obvious PC focus.

His college and Grizzlies uniform (the second time here) number was 13, so these are my favorite 13. Not the most valuable...just my favorites. There are some cases where a favorite may include related cards (like today) just because it's my thread and I want to.

Hope y'all enjoy, and if you've got any nice Mike Miller stuff, let me know!

#13 - 2000 Press Pass SE Jersey Cards

These are /200, and aren't easy to come by. Game worn college uniform cards, and I was lucky enough to get both the orange and blue swatches in a single deal.

Love the stories behind player collectors and their collections. Crossing fingers for a sweet dual JWill Mike Miller somewhere on the list.

To my knowledge, there's only one JWill/MM card that exists, a jersey card from Fleer Tradition. I've got one, but it's not on the list.

My wife is from South Dakota....so even she knew who Miller was. I remember when he won ROY, I was a fan. Very nice stuff!

#12 - 2013/14 Gold Prizm

I think this was the first Gold Prizm I got (although it looks yellow from the scan LOL). While I wish it was an action photo, the timing of production obviously only allowed for his portrait. Still - it's an early Gold, and MM's first - he wasn't included in the 12/13 Prizm set.

As a bonus - below it are the others I've got from the 13/14 Rainbow...only missing the two Black 1/1 (regular, Mosaic) - he wasn't in the Monster Box RWB Mosaic run.

Outstanding! I always liked Mike Miller. A winner, and a perfect role player during his era. Was a member of a very strong Team USA from memory? Also a member of the same draft class as my man Kenyon Martin. Just ignore the trash talk surrounding that class Hoping to see some Mike rookies in your top 13!

Nice Prizms! I usually call a rainbow minus the one of ones a poor mans rainbow. Those golds just keep increasing in value.

#11 - 2005-06 Topps First Row Black and White /225

This isn't a high-dollar card by any stretch, and not really rare at 225 copies. But like I said in post 1, these aren't my most valuable - they're just my favorites.

I just find something cool about this card. I love the black and white action shot, and the right-side design is fairly cool with the foil (although a LITTLE hard to read).

It's not the best scan so there's pixelation/print dots that aren't visible on the actual card, so this really doesn't do it justice.

Love me some black and white cards as parallels! Definitely a cool card.

I think I might own the Black Mosaic of your Prizm rainbow. Let me see if I can find it.

#10 - 2003-04 Topps Chrome Black Refractor /500

The black refractor with the matching black uniform makes this card just look...good. Great photo as well.

#9 2003-04 Upper Deck SP Authentic Limited Extra /25

Had a wedding out of town end of last weekend and have had a crazy week at work so slipped a little bit.

Love love love this one. Just great graphic design (that's what I do for a living, so that speaks to me.) Great foil accents, the black borders work with the black uniform. Just a solid card.

Bonus below, the Limited /100 version, which is a solid card in its own right. The teal foil that matches the uni is a nice touch.

Those are awesome! The #ed to 100 is HARD to find. I feel like it is partially because they look so much like the base and the serial number can be hidden.
