Point is, ratings of live TV across the board is down in general. So when people are saying WWE ratings are dropping, take it as you will, because they still have millions of viewers tuning in every show and are selling plenty of WWE Network subscriptions where people can watch the content at their convenience.

Now if all other TV ratings were going up and WWE was dropping, it would be more significant.

I'm not saying its a fantastic product, but the ship is far from sinking and AEW is just the new hot alternative at the moment. Let's revisit in a year.

They are only down 1% since 2016

How much is WWE down since then?

It is to the point for me, I read spoilers for Monday, and Friday before I decide if I want to watch. NXT is the only thing I never miss! With Asuka, and Sane bringing the belts to NXT, it may become the ONLY one I follow at all!

I like when people turn heel but don't yet join the stable it looks like they are forming with. Makes you want to tune in next week and see what happens.

Also, hope Dakota turns on Nox during the Tag Title match. Dakota doesn't come off as a face after her injury,

Might not happen right off. Rumors are Asuka, and Kairi getting solo runs with Lynch. Titles probably change hands. The belts probably get better exposure on Wednesday nights.

I would disagree with that. WWE is at it's lowest point ever, but wrestling as a whole is in a boom outside of WWE.

will Friday's Smackdown be kind of a throwaway episode (kind of like a holiday show) since they are being moved out of the main Fox spot for the week and probably have a big dip in viewership?

I bet it dips under a 2.0 rating so I could see it being pretty boring. Next week will be bad as well since most of the roster will be jet lagged from the Saudi trip. WWE missed a big PR chance to hold an all women's Smackdown next week instead of chartering a flight to get the roster back in time for Smackdown.

Maybe Matt Riddle? Only other guy I could think off right off hand. I'm hoping that a Gargano/Balor feud happens as well, and Johnny has to go over if they do that.

I had nothing better to do last night and decided to watch SD. Outside a decent main event that show was absolute garbage. Meaningless matches, pointless promos...it was bad.

If that is what you call hyping a PPV then I have no clue what to tell you. They were pointless in the sense that they were awful. They did nothing to pique my interest in the PPV, nor did they leave me thinking “man, that was a great promo.”

I get it, you’re a WWE fanboy, but quit defending their awful product. Guy I follow rated the show a 4.5/10 (his lowest rating of the year) which is about where I’m at with it. If not for the main event I’d put it at a 3/10
