It’s not going to end the way people want it to.

I'm definitely looking forward to this one, I think they are going to close it out right. I wasn't a fan of Last Jedi really, but everything else they have done recently has been great IMO.

I still think Rey is a Palpatine descendant, and the fact that he's back makes me think that even more.

So you just used franchises that people like and enjoy. Not sure what you were going for. Had you said 'Transformers' you might have been on to something.

Did you really use Lord of the rings to make your point?

If Darth Maul can survive being cut in half and falling down a deep shaft surely Palpatine can survive just falling down a deep shaft.

I think Rey will still end up not being related to anyone.

I really hope they don't try to redeem Kylo. I think that will be a cop out plus it would basically be copying Snape in Harry Potter then.

Looks like a lot of spacecraft scenes so I'm excited for that. Always loved space battles.

I actually really did like Rey after ep7. Saw that movie multiple times and was excited going forward. Ep8 just sucked out all of my excitement. There is not a single plot point going forward that is intriguing. She's already beat Kylo twice. Snoke was a big nothing. The originals are all dead. Damn ep8 is depressing...

Fast and the Furious franchise - 5 Billion world wide
Lord of the Rings franchise - 5.8 Billion world wide
Transformers franchise - 4.8 Billion world wide

Lord of the Rings is a classic, as for the other 2, I cant stand them. I think they are garbage cinema but the numbers don't lie. To many they are considered great cinema but to many they are not good. What about being proven wrong? Feeling are always wrong when fact are brought into play.

The side label on the original VHS video cassette of that movie glowed in the dark. Pretty funny.

I want this to be good but the trend from the last two would indicate its not going to be. I hope I'm wrong...

I'll watch this for sure like I have all the others. But I dunno, the characters are just kinda hard to get invested in for me. Maybe it's just rose colored glasses looking back at Han, Luke, Leia, etc etc, but the current crop of Rey, Fin, Kylo just don't seem all that intriguing to me. I've certainly really enjoyed parts of the last few movies, and don't hate them overall, they just don't seem like they're on the same level. Maybe it's the characters and plot decisions, maybe it's just that natural personal resistance to change
