I opened 5 Panini Sticker and Card Collection boxes and pulled 11 Zions total. I sold 4 Panini Zion stickers for $40/each and 5 base Zion rookie cards for an avg of $50/each. I still have the silver foil RC and the gold foil RC /10. Granted, I don't have much competition because no one else opened the product, but for those that list early, they will reap some stupid sales.

Nice sales! I wish I would have been aware of the sticker collection!

Would you be okay with me returning a card I purchased from you because it dropped in price? Or is it only okay to return wax because you’re doing it to Walmart?

Singles is different that unopened wax.

Singles being sold on the secondary market, wax on the "primary?" market. So yes, because it's Walmart/Target, ect.

This is true, but if Zion plays well, there's going to be an overall feeling that the hype is warranted and prices will continue to rise. Happens with every hyped player but it may be much more difficult to judge where the peak is.

If Walmarts policy allows you to return unopened product, why is that different than deciding you don't want a toaster you bought? Now the resealing/searching business is a different story, but I see returning to Walmart is very different IMO than returning a card on eBay because the value dropped.

I don't see a lot of Prizm getting returned this year though...

Exactly. If I buy a toaster, and then a brand new one comes out, I can return. I think this guy is thinking I'm going to open all, reseal, and return? Not the case.

Someone who accepts returns on eBay should have no problem with accepting a return of a card that went down in value. It’s the seller’s policy. It is allowed.

If these aren’t an easy flip, you think Walmart isn’t hurt by people returning thousands of items they don’t want anymore?

I’m not thinking that at all. I just think it’s in poor taste to return wax. But if you all want to excuse it because that’s what the policy allows, that’s your call.

Fair point, but even if you don't accept returns on an item on eBay, the buyer is typically abusing the policy through the loophole of claiming the item was "not as described" (which is fraudulent if the real reason is that the value dropped after the purchase). If WalMarts return policy was that you could only return something if it's "not as described" then returns would be wrong. The fact that they give you a certain amount of time to return in unopened condition with no questions asked is what makes it perfectly fine IMO.

I accept returns on ebay and if it's within the timeframe and policy, I'm not complaining, I offer it. Do I want returns? No, but I think offering them helps with sales - Walmart takes the same approach and they can swallow the loss a lot easier than we can.

And if you return prizm to them because there's not enough profit in it after fees/shipping, they're still going to be able to sell it for retail, they're not hurting.

Again, returns don’t come at zero cost to big retailers like Walmart. Shipping costs both ways, time to restock, and lost ability to have sold the product to someone who was willing to keep it. Not to mention there’s no guarantee the product gets sold when it goes back on the shelf. Maybe it’s damaged. Maybe it’s not popular.

Anyway, sorry to distract. Just not a fan of seeing people talking about buying in bulk with the plan to return if they can’t profit from it. Not how this should work.

And would you really not complain if you had sold an Andrew Luck NT RPA in August, then received a return request in September?

It's not really a matter of whether they're losing money, they can choose to not take returns and they don't. That's different than eBay sellers being forced to take a return because the buyer claims any number of reasons and is always backed by eBay in disputes.

I am speaking solely about the individuals on eBay who opt to accept all returns. No reason necessary. Just as you can return an item to a place like Walmart or Target.

I'm not a fan of the idea. Too many slimeballs that will open them and search the packs and then Walmart workers don't have a clue so they'll take them back and put them on the shelves for the next poor sap.

I suspect returns of resealed product will be through the roof this year. There’s simply too much incentive to open this stuff by the hundreds. I hope it forces Walmart to ban returns on cards.

Those who are even remotely entertaining the notion of returning the product in-store. You're aware you can just cancel the pre-order in your online account dashboard before they even ship, right?

I suspect that's where some of these re-loads are coming from.
