Unless you're going to take it with you to the grave, I want as many people to know about it's history so they make an informed decision if it ever shows up for sale again in the next 25 years.

are we missing the point here? did the OP solicit feedback on whether these cards were trimmed?

i understand the public good mission, but at the same time, the service of figuring out whether something is trimmed or authentic or not shouldn't kill members passion and enjoyment in sharing cards.

I think it's worth pointing out bad sellers and trimmed cards if:

1) the card is up for sale
2) someone asks about the reputation of a particular individual

in this case, the OP simply wanted to share his enjoyment with some new adds to his PC. many of us on this site are collectors.

are we letting policing the community getting in the way of the community actually thriving?

The proper thing to do is..... Make a thread of your own or add onto a thread you already have and just make your fans aware on that thread. You can even list this URL and images.

1/ You have hijacked the OP's thread

2/ if you believe strongly in your mission, one suggestion would be to build a massive DB of every card you suspect of being altered, trimmed, etc.

3/ Market and publicize the link to said DB. Perhaps you can get a community to fundraise and pay for hosting, investigation, etc. Frankly, having all such cards easily searchable and in one location would better serve your mission than leaving comments in individual threads

4/ This way, collectors who want to post their cards and celebrate can have a forum here in Blowout to do that, and separately, you can have a place to do what you enjoy.

5/ See if Blowout will allow you and superdan to create a separate group here for collecting all your threads on altered and trimmed cards. There are enough such threads now that i believe doing so will again make it easier or consumers in the future.

The only time I posted prior to the OP removing his post was the following:

"And the Epix comes from PWCC. Can check it later against known lists."

Hmm, not sure which dog to back in this fight. 312 is being pretty rude and self-righteous, but the OP is sticking his head in the sand and ignoring the truth. It's a PSA 10 because its probably trimmed, otherwise it wouldn't be, lol!

As I have told you before, you and Superdan have done some great work in this community. You have the respect of lots of people.

As a result a lot of what you say and post carries extra weight. Be careful and use that power responsibly. Think about what you say, when you say it.

If you believe people who post pics with redacted serial numbers have stolen cards, that is fine. You can keep your opinions to yourself. What I do not appreciate is you PUBLICLY insinuating with zero evidence. You don't need to understand what I post, or how I post, or what I collect.

if you and the BODA want to comment on anyone and everyone's cards and posts and PUBLICLY point out bad #@#@#@#@, feel free to keep doing so. I for one will stop posting. Others may as well. You will kill this community with your OCD desire to make available for posterity all trimmed and altered cards.

I respect what you are doing, but wholeheartedly believe there are better ways to go about it.

There is no proof that either is altered/trimmed. These guys do good work and it has helped people but don’t just make accusations without proof. There are no sales of the raw cards so they just assume mine are trimmed. For people who say they look small in the holder. Go to eBay and you can see cards that fill the holder and them there are cards that look small. If I asked for their opinion that is one thing but I was just trying to share my happiness.
