Sweet cards. How do you tell those 2 were bankruptcy cards and why didn't PSA label them that way?

The Select Numbers Jeter card unfortunately originated with alleged trimmer Superior Sports Investments aka SSI. They were selling the one serial numbered before that one (cert #28179246) on COMC a few months ago.

And the Epix comes from PWCC. Can check it later against known lists.

Great pick ups.. Sucks about the history of those two cards, hopefully evidence won't show up as trimmed. The Epix looks a little short in the holder. Here is one NOT mine where it fits nicely in the holder, with minimal space

Really sucks that it is so hard to appreciate fantastic cards these days without the concern of potential trimming

I don’t care. Don’t come into my thread saying that my cards are trimmed. I am happy I have them and they look great. Create your own thread but don’t try to rain on my happy day!
Stay off my thread!

I don’t care. They are my PC Cards. I bought all 3 from a close friend and a huge Jeter collector. Don’t analyze my cards. Stay in your own threads.
Thanks!

Nice cards OP. Thanks for sharing. You have an awesome Jeter collection.

I am not defending any previous posts buy my outside in view is that folks were just trying to be helpful and make sure you have as much information as possible. I agree that they could have shared such info with you in a different way (ie, direct message). But I think they had good intentions.

I can sympathize with you, however. I recently posted cards and someone, with zero evidence, insinuated I had stolen my cards. It totally rained on my parade and additionally made me question and lose credibility in all their comments in this Community.

I know they mean well but a message would be appreciated. I am celebrating getting in cards that I have wanted for a long time and those guys just assume they are altered. Now every time I look at those cards that will be in my mind.
I read that thread and I’m sorry people ganged up on you. We have a lot of keyboard warriors on here that don’t know when to leave something alone.

Stay off my thread!

Based on the origin of the Select numbers and Pinnacle epix AS WELL AS HOW SMALL THEY LOOK IN THE HOLDERS, I'd say there's a very large probability that they're both trimmed. Especially the epix. That card is tiny. Both ways.

Last night, I went through over 100 pages of the Mantle thread and posted the user names of the owners of PWCC-purchased altered cards on the PSA Set Registry. Previous efforts have led to e-mails of appreciation and significant donations made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital from grateful collectors. I believe that knowledge, not ignorance, should be a top priority in the hobby.

I will continue to call out altered cards and cards from dubious sources when I see them. There are of course many trading card options out there should collectors wish to avoid such scrutiny.

You post your cards in a thread on a card forum.

You get upset when people make comments about your cards.

Odd.

This was the 1998 Epix OP posted, correct?

If so, here is (unsurprisingly) a trimmed card in the same PSA submission. I'm sure many more can be found.

This was me. I said that I assume any card that is posted with a redacted serial number is stolen. I still maintain this belief until someone provides a good reason to redact a serial number.
