Staying on field performance, despite the Braves winning lately, no one has been super consistent. Steady Freddie has had some off nights too lately. So I won't judge Ron at the moment due to team circumstances. A day off could be good but Snit thinks on any given game he needs one of them to help win games down the stretch.

That article probably brought in a lot of "new money" into the hobby as new/novice collectors get into Acunamania and want a piece of the action. More attention for the bat down 698, other 698s as well as the holiday card. The holiday metallic with a print run of 2900 should see a good bump up as the print run is a few notches back behind the update Gold and rainbow foil.

Everyone in baseball has bad stretches. Bellinger is 2 for his last 21. Mike Trout went 0 for 21 last May. Guys have slumps, they work through it. Peaks and valleys. It's a normal part of baseball and micro-analyzing every at bat is a recipe for insanity.

This is where I'm at. I keep buying low end Acuna because I don't want to pay crazy prices for higher end. At the same time prices are still rising. Just feels like I need more cards for the PC.

I'm sure the observations about Acuna's fan interactions are related to the fact that he is still learning English.

What is a better buy for the bat down at current prices: a PSA 9 or PSA 10??

That's what I'm thinking. As long as I don't see white on the corners I'm going for a PSA 9. I need a rainbow foil too and PSA 9 is probably the strategy for me on that card as well.

The gold would seem a prime candidate for shadiness. Maybe not so much when they were $200 but man Id be somewhat leery of them going forward unless I could track the provenance.

How well do the topps update grade? I have near 10 bat ups I am wanting along with a handful Soto's but don't know if I should sell raw or slab them.

They look good to me but I don't want to spend the time and money to find out I got an 8...

Cards have a standard size, 2.5" x 3.5" correct? If so, buy the graded card. When it arrives, measure it...and if it doesn't meet the card size, return it. eBay is very kind to buyers right?
