I hope the Feds follow though on this.

I was involved with the Feds on a case (forgeries) and myself, Richard Simon and Shelly Jaffe handed them the case on a silver platter and out of the blue, they decided to drop it.

I really hope they go full blast with this and hold those accountable.

I will be following this.

Kudos to those who started this!!!!

There was a real one of these for Washington Redskins tickets. I feel like ESPN made a 30 for 30 short on it.

Remember the scene and that's what I thought of when I read that comment. Was it sea of love or serpico?

It was "Sea Of Love."

That scene has always stuck in my head.

If you remember, after they arrested everyone, one guy comes running up to Al Pacino's character with his kid and says to the officer (paraphrasing) "Am I too late (or something like that)" and Pacino flashes his badge and says "Catch you later."

He didn't want to arrest him in front of his son.

They have had them disabled for a while. I went on there about a month ago to see what comments they have and it was all disabled.

Did anyone check out Betsy being interviewed on youtube? She kept telling the interviewer she did not want to talk on camera.

Sounds like those are subpoenas for records, which probably means the investigation is still at its early stage. If the PSA insider letter is true, the Fed will have to build up a huge case and it may take awhile.

yep--on this train right here. justificatiion/redemption/upheaval/balance--whatever, only greed. so many bad examples that they have no answer for. you cannot be a "qualified"asset to the hobby after this debacle.

Come on, I think he meant a security guard probably because vault items were on display. Not a personal security (body) guard.

I'm predicting some rather substantial political contributions to be made followed by a very light slap on the wrist for the corporate entities involved.

Joe is just getting tired of all this internet bullying...

Joe Orlando, October 18, 2011 “Taking My Hacks: The Things I Get Tired of in the Hobby”:

“Don't you just love these guys? These are the guys who do nothing but bash, bully, demean and harass on various message boards. You know what they say? Everyone is 10 feet tall behind a computer. Their strongest assets appear to be the ability to express just how jealous they are of others and, sometimes, lying without a hint of regret. How they have time to post so much is beyond me. Apparently, they have no life and are here to take that out on the rest of the world. Here's a suggestion: The hobby is supposed to be fun so, if the hobby is making you that miserable, do everyone else a favor and leave.

I am sure he is just blocking folks “who choose to spread fear and ignorance.”

Joe Orlando, July 22, 2019, “Taking My Hacks: A Collectors Universe Retrospective”:

“After 20 years at the company and a lifetime in this hobby, there are a few things I know. There will always be challenges that our hobby will have to face and, unfortunately, there will also be those who choose to spread fear and ignorance. For those of us who love the hobby, there will always be opportunities to improve it by engaging in civil discourse.

PSA is acting like a guilty party in all of this as well. Wondering how deep this really goes.

Those news stories are out there. The business and stock is more reliant on grading coins than cards at something close to 2.5:1. Bottom line is even if PSA stopped grading cards they’d still be a viable business.

Thank you BODA for your numerous hours of research. It's paying off more and more and time goes on. We're all in debt to you. We as members of the hobby can also do our part, no matter how insignificant, to make the hobby more honest. So we can all enjoy it in our own way and preserve it for the future.

Thank you Blowout for allowing members to post this information, especially considering that I assume you've been threatened with legal action to remove.
