At least it’s mentioned in the title....Anybody with integrity at least mentions “damage, dmg, read, look description or anything along those lines” when listing a high end card. And you expect somebody who considers them themselves as the premier auction house or the experts in buying and selling online to be more upfront.

Mint Qualities for a damaged card really only exists in Brent`s universe

This isn't one to get worked up over, imo. They pretty clearly stated in the description the damage to the card even though you can't see it from the scans. Like others have already said, most sellers don't even mention it.

Vintage collectors always mention eye appeal when looking at cards regardless of the issues. From the looks of it, this one would fit the bill even though it's a modern card.

PWCC has time to make worthless videos, but doesn’t have time to take a photo that actually shows the damage.

.
You lose that arguement when they listed mint and gem in the main description.

Vintage collectors do not say a card with good eye appeal is mint or gem.

At the least it is still intentionally sketchy.

Significant damage that is not easily visible in the scan needs to be noted in the title of the auction.

My friend had submitted a card to becket with a min grade submission and had it not meet the grade he wanted it but had it slabbed authenticated.

Long story short the card did not meet the grade he had specified but years later he decided to part with the card and sent it to pwcc along with other cards and pwcc decided to take the liberty of assigning the card a grade (but they aren’t professional graders) and put it in the sub title as damaged and mentioning it wasn’t gem mint. The card has a surface scratch on the back of the card but they labeled it as creased when it wasn’t creased but had a scratched.

I see nothing wrong with what they did but when my friend got the title reviews from pwcc before they were listed none of this was mentioned to him. But they can do this without the card even being authenticated or mentioning damage in the title!? It seems they are getting sleazier by each auction session.

PWCC probably knocked the card down so they could have Moser scoop in and get a "deal" so he could go and do his Magic

At first look, I was interested in the card. But for some strange reason I wanted to read the description and that’s what threw me off a bit.

So I messaged PWCC to clarify ( this was before I posted the thread) especially since I couldn’t see the crease in the picture either.

I did mention in my message to them, that the description was misleading but they did not address that portion of my message. Anyways,
here is there response today:

This listing just does them no favors.

You can list any card as “would have been graded a 10 GEM MINT except for the big crease and surface scratches and the bent corners, so it’s knocked down to a 5 “ .

Why even bother putting that, unless your selling snake oil.

If I sell my car on eBay, listing in the title nothing about how I accidentally poured oil in the gas tank, and it doesn’t run today should I just put that in the description or title?

Title you morons...

It’s not that you should put in the title but DO NOT put in the description that “ the car runs pristine except that I poured oil in the tank and it doesn’t run. “

The card is at $3500 after the first 24 hours . Wow don’t think people realize it has a heavy crease.

Through my experience with Ebay, roughly 50% or more of ebay buyers graze the description, let alone read it in full.

PWCC understands the game fully.

Why is there no picture of the crease?

And I thought they have the newest “technology “ with their pictures of cards. I cannot see the wrinkle / crease at all.

Just one mention of it in the last sentence which most folks won’t even read that far, they just see the GEM in caps in the beginning of the description.

Would you sell a card here with a crease mentioned in your description and then not post a picture that shows the crease?

But in your case, two creases were listed that nobody saw except for Brent. He and Joe Clemons have the best eyes in the hobby for sure.

He posted high quality pictures of both the front and back of the card and mentioned damage that was hard to see in the pictures. What else do you want from the guy?
