Another Earthquake

There was another tonight in Southern California. That's 3 in the last 2 days.

Geez..... as I write another one. The 7.1 at 8:23 was felt from La to Vegas to Yuma to Pismo Beach.

and I just heard a 5.3 aftershock happened a few minutes ago.

I’m in Burbank. Felt the one one 4th of July and this one tonight. We did some serious rolling both times. It honestly felt like we were riding on a theme park ride to the point where my kids felt a touch motion sick. Our chandelier in our dining room was swaying big time. My cats ran and took cover. But nothing flew off shelves and no damage here as we’re far enough away. The people in Ridgecrest must’ve been terrified. I’m sure there’s damage there.

I lived through the Northridge quake and was close to the epicenter and boy was it scary.
It was like a train ran through the building.

Best decision I made was I bought earthquake insurance from the CEA (California Earthquake Authority) a couple years ago. This was a good reminder to stay prepared. Hope all those in Ridgecrest are safe.

I remember when I was a kid hearing a famous preacher say that God showed him that part of California would eventually fall into the ocean. That an earthquake would cause it to break at the San Andreas Fault. Every time I hear of an earthquake over that way I always wonder if that could actually happen
