Still surprised the Warriors won.

Curry is out of gas at this point in the playoffs, his legs are shot.
Iguodala is obviously seriously hampered with his calf as well, not being in the game down the stretch.
Looney is a freaking soldier for getting out there and banging.

As long as they leave it all out there in Game 6, I'm good with the outcome.

Not overly concerned about Toronto. I think they have a great chance to close it out at Oracle instead of dragging it back to Toronto.

They've showed both this series and last that homecourt doesn't mean much. They're very resilient.

At least Curry took a shoot when it mattered. Leonard passed the ball with under 10 seconds left. What a bitch...

Just like Red Sox -Yankees in '04, after every game the leading team fails to win the close out game, their sphincters tighten a little more as the other team's confidence grows. Toronto in trouble.

I hope so. Still confident we will win this. Would like to win it at home in 5 though. Watched that final play for the 20th time (doesn’t get any easier to watch) Curry slides over to the lane and has his back to Danny Green after Kawhi passed back to Fred up top. Don’t know why Danny stays up about five feet from kawhi. If he rolls to the corner he’s wide open or he cuts to the hoop and hopefully Fred finds him and curry fouls him as he’s not really watching him.

I have to delete this game off my PVR or I’ll drive myself crazy

KD's achilles...

Still a bit angry how absolutely classless the Raptors' fans were, but then again no surprise.

Gotta feel guilty. Good chance this would happen and they put winning over his health. I know kd gave the ultimate yes to play but you can’t clear him.

Feel bad for KD. Could be a career changer.

Shocked the Raptors couldn’t close it out.

I was telling my dad before the game that it made no sense to me why Kevin would play tonight and risk it.

Suddenly being able to play in a game 5 of an injury that severe...it didn't add up. The difference in 4 days between game 4 and game 5 and he's been out for 30+ days. Seemed more like a desperation move if anything.

But hey, I'm not a doctor.

Man, Myers was barely holding it together. That was tough to watch, but speaks a lot to their relationship.

True, I have no inside information and not a doctor. He looked pretty good moving around out there. I just feel like after the first injury doctors would say he needs to rest it for 3-6 months to decrease the chance for separation. He comes back after a month and it does exactly that (at least it looks like that) after playing 11 minutes.

It's refreshing to see people in management actually view their players as humans instead of 9 figure dollar signs.

I agree and I'm a Raptors fan. Would have loved to see KD play the rest of the series.

Let's be honest, if we were in KD's shoes we would all want to play too.

A sad and unfortunate outcome, and I'm sure all parties involved knew the risks.

Easy now. You’re coming across as a punk.

It was absolutely disgusting that fans were cheering when Durant got hurt. He’s one of the best in the world and I hate that he’s hurt again but let’s not act like this is the first or last time fans cheer an injury. Geez warriors fans were chanting “warriors, warriors” like some pathetic extras from the movie the warriors as Fred VanVleet lay with blood gushing from his face. Is it okay to cheer because the degree of injury is perceived to be as serious? No it’s not. Hell you’re obviously a niners fan and I’m sure you will remember Seattle fans throwing popcorn and trash at bowman as he was carted off with injury.

Cheering when a player gets injured is truly classless. I as a lifelong raptors fan apologize on behalf of the true raptors/basketball fans that don’t condone this. However don’t act like this is an isolated incident to Canadians and raptors fans

Pretty hard to watch Durant go down like that. I was actually hoping the Raptors won tonight just so the season would be over. It's hard to explain, but I don't have very much interest in watching anymore games this season. Not sure why. It's a strange feeling.

I just read this about Achilles injuries:

"According to a 2013 medical study that identified 18 players who suffered major Achilles injuries over a 23-year span (1988-2011), seven players never returned to the league. Players who returned missed an average of 56 games and saw their PER decline in their first and second seasons back. A 2015 CBS Sports article found that among 14 players who returned from Achilles injuries since 1992, they averaged fewer minutes while both their field goal and three-point percentages dropped, on average. There are very few complete success stories."

Hoping KD can make a full recovery but historically speaking, it doesn't look like a 100% return to form is even on the table. Obviously, I don't know or claim to know the severity of Durant's injury but from what I've read, it doesn't look good for him if this is a complete tear of the tendon. Certainly what it looked like in that close-up video.

He’s not necessarily young either, a lot of mileage. This sucks

He won't be the same KD. He'll probably make a few All-Star games and maybe All-NBA teams but I don't see him anywhere close to MVP status.
