Like the botched CP3 trade years ago, now the NBA is gonna force the AD trade to LA, so they compensate NO with the first pick.

#4 pick puts the lakers in the drivers seat to get AD now and being able to keep Ball or Ingram. I don’t think Zion changes his mind in the least.

While it may be terrible for the hobby...isn't this what everyone wanted?

A system that didn't reward the worst teams from intentionally tanking (New Orleans you could argue was part of this, but majority stemmed from the AD debacle).

I hope stuff like this continues so they don't reward dysfunction.

This was the most exciting lottery in a while.

NO is in a great position. You can let AD stay and build around him and Zion. You can trade him and Holiday and get the rebuild started.

Memphis is looking great too. They kept their pick AND they moved up. Ja/JJJ could be their combo for the next 10 years. Trade Conley and the decent role players, get another Top 5 pick and keep it going.

This is absolutely not a possibility.

Maybe 400 instead of 600.

Even JJJ's stuff (despite not doing much at all) still sells strong. So JA/RJ will probably be fine so long as they produce.

I’m not happy with the Cavs at 5... obviously

However I am a big fan of Hunter so I think they’ll be ok

Hunter or Garland is actually a better fit with Sexton

They aren’t as good as Morant or Barrett obviously in a vacuum

Hell yeah. None of the Top 4 teams should have been rewarded. Knicks and Bulls have the worst FOs in the game; Suns keep making wrong picks and Cavs have gotten more than enough luck.

Hobby standpoint. Absolutely awful. We could have had Ja and Zion on Knick’s and Lakers. It would have seemed rigged but cards would have been booming. Now the pelicans and grizzlies have the top two players lololol. Just gross but happy for a small market team.
