You could always list some at prices you're comfortable with.

needed to get 10 hits a year for four years or something like that to tie Judge. That was all I needed to know about staying clear of Judge card wise on anything big money. Right now the best thing to do is hold or list at your prices and maybe some things sell. |

judge is one of the most likable athletes in all of sports. as such his cards will always have some demand. when he is on the field and the yankees are winning his cards will rise in value. buy/hold/sell? the time to sell was asb 2017.
anyone holding or buying in 2018 or 2019 should have understood it was for collecting not roi. i believe buying the heritage action on a dip for a pc pickup makes a lot of sense. might even be able to flip it with a strong postseason or next spring. buying one of the hundreds of auto cards right now is a waste of time and $.

Keep buying. Just be selective always buy below whatever the current market is.
Regarding 2017, there were points during that year where prices on many of his cards were well below what they were before this latest injury. Five minutes on pwcc's site can confirm that. If you're actively buying and selling, the only players you stop buying altogether are the prospects who never make the majors. Otherwise, just look for deals. If you're not buying/selling and are just putting them away for a real long time, then it's probably tough to see a good return no matter what you do. It's always easier to find deals well below the current market when a player is cold or hurt. When he's hot, they're usually clustered pretty tight. At least, that's been my experience. My original quote..."I am in the hold category. love em or hate em...yankees hold there value. He is a huge guy and has...yes the potential to even be a legit to the 61 hr mark. A definite hold for me!" Wow was I a seer back then ha ha Wish it were on my other buy and holds! |

Depends on how he does in playoffs and a roll of the dice if he stays with NY. Its a tough call now that the Yankees let Judge bet on himself and the Yankees’ front office lost.

I would sell now.
Yankees chances of advancing in the playoffs are not good. Players that sign a big contract usually do not perform well their 1st season. |

The days of having contracts averaging 11.5 million for a Miggy from 2003-2015 (13 years) and Pujols from 2001-2011 (12 years) are Done. Those were the big stat years. Last edited by Stifle; 09-10-2022 at 01:03 PM. |

Sell now - he’s not likely to be an all-time great, but is having what is likely to be his highest profile career year

Now, as in this minute? Or now, as in when he wins the MVP or breaks, possibly, the record? the answer could make a considerable $$$$$ difference.
