Lady Vols Rookie Cards

Pat Summitt and Holly Warlick rookie cards. From the 1980-1981 Valley Bank set. These were distributed as 8 uncut 11" x 17" sheets. Examples are untrimmed from the sheets.

To be fair, I love the Lady Vols and enjoy women's sports. I thought Siberian's joke was funny. Not everything needs to be taken so seriously, especially not on the internet.

For the record, you can put some men's sports in there too. Like men's figure skating and gymnastics. I'm all about equality

I really thought they'd hire coach a more established coach but i guess they wanted Pat Summit ties (which is understandable). I'm excited to see if they can become an elite program again

I don't think they'll ever be as good as they were under Summitt. The landscape has changed. A lot better basketball players, multiple colleges on the come up... I'm just glad they got someone who can teach Xs/Os. Holly Warlick was an awful in-game coach who could recruit. The LV name kind of recruits itself still. Hoping Kelly can teach these recruits about basketball and get the most out of them.

Yeah Kelly showed she is a great in game coach in the tourney. Her squad had no business making the sweet 16.

I hope so. I remember so of the games the Lady Gamecocks had with them when we were trying to get on the level Coach Summitt had her program at then. I was never a huge fan of women's basketball until I started going to Lady Gamecock games with Dawn Staley first got hired. Back then, I would show up at game time, pay $5 and sit court side. Now, good luck getting a ticket most nights, and average attendance at games has been over 12,000 every season since 2014-2015. If it wasn't for what Pat Summitt did at UT, women's basketball would still be played in front of crowds of less than 500 in auxiliary gyms.

Yeah Dawn has does a great job. LV attendance has gone down a ton since Pat retired, but last yr was pitiful. Used to put 17-18k people in a 22k arena. Last year they were pulling about 4-6k. That's unacceptable here. Old ladies are trying not to die and the LV are giving them mini heart attacks with each turnover.

Too many sensitive nannies in the forum. Probably had no guidance when they were little to have a backbone and learn to take jokes.
