Fan of bith artists and these are far from either of thier best work. I probably will purchase both since i collect Black Cat, but im a little disappointed.

I actually like this Campbell Black Cat more than a lot of his other stuff, but Stanley is indeed supreme.

Artgerm is also near or at the top of the entire Detective 1000 roster with his work for that, which is an incredible feather in his cap, given the competition, and the visibility of the project. DC has admirably used the occasion to commission an amazing portfolio of art between Action and Detective. All the artists seem to have been genuinely inspired for these milestone issues.

While I haven't received the first two yet (AH! & Lau), I was delighted to this month pre-order my third in the new DC Portfolio Trade Paperback series, the Frank Cho. I can't wait to see these in person, and what art was selected from the "Holy Trio". Plus, there are so many more of these they can make. This could be a great series.

IMO Campbell saves his best pieces for either incentive or his own shop exclusives. I will still be getting this one for the PC. As for the Artgerm, this might be one of his best digital pieces. Soooo much to like about it, imo.

And yes I will be grading these.
So did I hear that all of the Artgerm retro variants came back damaged?

Just got the new Artgerm DC Artist Poster Portfolio.
It's an oversized trade paperback with 20 pull-out poster of his best DC covers without the usual cover copy, so pure art.
This is an excellent format for this and a great looking collection.
I've got the Jim Lee and Frank Cho on order.
Hopefully, this series will continue for a long time as there are plenty of artists whose work merits this deluxe treatment.

My favorite of the two is the retro version and definitely love the extreme change up between multiple variants rather than just a background color change or different outfit that’s kind of become the standard.

I have several Artgerm Virgin Variant Covers in CGC 9.8 if anyone's interested.

Also, if anyone has or knows anyone with Artgerm Original Art Sketch Covers, please let me know. I am trying to buy as many as I can get my hands on.
