Default Target Run & Done! Monster Hit of a Lifetime

Grabbed (6) Blasters & (6) Hanger Boxes at Target this evening.
-Purple Hot Box (none of note)
-Albies & Story Chrome /999
-(2) Scratchoffs Rizzo & Smoak
-(2) CC Relics (Severino & Cespedes)
- Max Muncy Real One Auto Blue

And then in the same blaster as the Muncy auto, I’m thinking to myself...... “I didn’t think there were action variations in retail”.......well there isn’t!
I’m still shaking, best hit I’ve ever personally pulled.

Now I’m just not sure what to do....sell or grade/keep?
Jeff

Wow that is a beautiful card. Throw that thing up for $3k even. Some deep pockets in Japan.

Congrats.

Also, it is insane that you got an auto and throwback in the same blaster

Huge! If you’re not an Ohtani/Angels fan, I would sell. You are going to get a huge payday from that.

Unless there is a Acuna or Soto Throwback version as well (I'm sure there is?), that has to be THE hit of the series!

Could someone please explain the significance of the pull. @ 3K it's obviously a massive pull. Is it like a 1/1 or superfractor? Genuine inquiry for collector unfamiliar with Heritage.

Odds of hitting a Throwback ususally run somewhere around 1:6,500 packs (the best odds is usually in the hanger boxes I believe). They're even more rare in blasters, hobby boxes, etc. Most people never hit one, even in case-breaks. They're the most desirable variation overall.

Congrats on that beautiful hit!

Here ya go.....found the odds for 2019:

2019 Topps Heritage Throwback Uniform Variations
Throwback Uniform Variations are typically some of the most coveted cards each year that don’t have an autograph or are an ultra-hot Rookie Card. The reason? They’re extremely tough to pull and, therefore, exceptionally rare despite their lack of serial number.

The concept behind these is a simple one — players are pictured in retro uniforms.

Odds:
Hobby – 1:10,879
Retail – 1:11,132
Blaster – 1:11,254
Retail Fat Pack – 1:5,328
Retail Hanger Box – 1:2,787

Sell now and buy it back at 1/3 of the cost in a year or 2.

I pulled it from a blaster 1:11,254 Packs
Best pull I’ve ever had
Sold it last night to the ultimate Heritage Collector.

Throwbacks are very desirable and appeal to a wide range of people (Heritage Collectors, Team Collectors, etc., etc.) and there are usually a very small amount produced (typically less than 10 or 15, though not sure of the PRs this year)
