I hope the Phillies really feel this exact same way as you do.... about all of that.

I like this keeps Dodgers able to sign Arenado next year!

Also if the Padres could get Machado that would be great! Imagine a healthy lineup of Myers-Hosmer-Machado-Tatis!

Another team finally says "we're not paying for Bryce or Manny".

Their only hurting themselves at this point by staying unsigned.

That's a nice deal. Thought Pollock would get a bit more

With Pollock off the board you wonder how much longer Harper & Machado are gonna wait time is not on their side at this point.

They can afford to be wrong with Pollack and replace him if need be. Harper's contract size will make it tough to do that.
That's still a lot of dead money if he only plays half of the games over the next 4 years like his career averages suggest.

Pollock is a $18-$20 mil a year guy at his production levels if he could play 140 games.

I'm all in on a 4 year-$128M deal for Harper for the Braves

And so would most of the league take him on a 4yr deal at that price.

Wow, we sign a guy who can't stay healthy for that much all because he bats right-handed. Another great acquisition trash heap digger Dodgers....

Now that AJ is onboard.. let’s predict the details for the upcoming trade between the Dodgers and the Fish.

The Marlins have been holding out for a top prospect and a major league ready everyday player in exchange for JT Realmuto.

To this point the rumor was that Miami was asking for Bellinger and Ruiz. This makes it easy to see why a trade hasn’t happened yet...

With the addition of A.J. Pollock I have to believe that Joc and/or Verdugo became at least a little more expandable. I do expect that at least one of them will need to be on the roster to complement Pollock as a lefty righty pseudo platoon to keep him healthy. I’m guessing they will target about 120 games for Pollock.

My guess for the inevitable trade:

Dodgers receive:

C JT Realmuto
RHP Jorge Guzmán

Miami receives:

OF Joc Pederson
C Keibert Ruiz
RHP Tony Gonsolin

Thoughts?

MLB is about to get sued by the players association. They are swimming in cash and pro sports are the only thing anybody watches live anymore, and 2 very rare, very young talents are up for long term contracts? The Yankees desperately need a left handed bat and starting pitching. They could easily trade Andujar and Frazier for a front line starter and sign both Machado and Harper.
