1999 PACIFIC DEREK JETER #294
I know that misprints usually don't carry the value that error cards do, but I find this one pretty interesting since it's Griffey's name printed on top of Jeter. Also, I don't see any misprints from this set being sold or listed. Am I chasing a ghost? image attached |

The error makes zero sense from a production point of view, unless they truly made the foil plate "Derek Griffey Jr."
The "Derek" is foiled correctly, so is part of the "Jeter"...so again...it simply doesn't make sense from a production error.

I'm not familiar too much about the card process but couldn't be similar to the way a coin can be stamped with two dates or on wrong planchet.
