They obviously don’t need to do it, I was speaking from a customer service/satisfaction standpoint, something Topps just doesn’t do well..but they don’t really have to, things are going well for them. The sheer amount they sold in the first offering tells us it was overpriced, they know it. The checklist was posted, I interpreted it as a limited base set (serial numbered probably) of the 105 players with 5 random autos, not just the 5 autos. Definitely an error on my part, I was in my office when the notice came and didn’t dissect the promo sheet, I’ll take the blame there.

How about the fact that some of us are members paid in full and have not received either of the direct e-mails. I received an e-mail from a specific CS guy at one point but nothing else.

Or they could not make their product solicitation an adventure of confusion and frustration and just be clear about what the heck you're paying $1,000 for. Pretty amazing that a company that puts out product sell sheets on the regular struggled so much with sharing details on this one unless that was exactly what they intended to do.

Thirded. I'm not going to buy this product, but that doesn't mean they won't offer something to members at some point that I would buy. I get plenty of e-mails from them every week, no idea why there is a group that simply doesn't get anything regarding this in particular.

I bought into one of these boxes as well, and stupidly and blindly did it before Topps gave any information (we all have our weak moments). I sold it the day after I received it for a break-even price, just to get out while I still could.

I just wanted to say thanks, I felt like I had an instant support group (Topps Anonymous) so that I wasn't alone. I had people to sympathize with, and people reminding me that when I leap before looking, it's on me.

As an aside, the best one I've seen is on page 37 with the motorcycle crash. Though everything on here has been both informative and hilarious - a great combination. Merry Christmas to all, hope you get something you've always wanted this year.

Hoping to profit a little
And not just some change for some Skittles
So far it's been ok
at least for me
Have a set incoming

But they told me first so no surprise there
I appreciate that, it's kinda like they care
The $1k pack I passed on
Maybe a little premature
But those thousand dollar buyers
Mostly disappointed I'm sure

But 43 pages of reading

Quite entertaining
